The Role You will be responsible for primary-aged pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD), severe learning difficulties (SLD), and autism (ASD). The class follows a pre-formal and semi-formal curriculum, integrating learning, therapy, and health needs. Each class is supported by an experienced team of Teaching Assistants, and the successful candidate will also be an essential member of a curriculum team. A strong understanding of child development and experience teaching pupils with SEND is essential, particularly with students with complex needs such as ASD, SLD, and PMLD. You should be a curious and committed learner yourself, with the ability to collaborate effectively within your own class team.
