Senior Facade Designer Hybrid/Site Based Join the Recladding Revolution on the South Coast Salary depending on Experience Founded over 20 years ago, Our Client have become a leading principal contractor specialising in cladding remediation. They deliver high-quality, compliant, multi-million-pound cladding repatriations & regeneration contracts throughout London and the wider Southeast. We have personally worked with this Client for many years and due to expansion along the South Coast / M4 Corridor we are looking for a Senior Designer to work on their sites based in Southampton Portsmouth & Basingstoke - This is a hybrid role so you will be based within commuting distance of these areas. You must have Facade Design experience and the following skills At least 5 years experience in the UK construction industry Rainscreen systems - EWI rendering systems - Brickwork - Insulation types -Cavity barriers - Helping hand systems - EPDM and waterproofing - Physically able to access scaffolding You must be able to do the following Attend site when required, up to 3 or 4 days a week when needed Undertake site surveys, take photos and measurements and prepare detailed drawings based on this information Prepare elevation drawings to an accurate level of detail Prepare detail drawings to an accurate level of detail Prepare material take-offs Prepare manufacturing schedules based on site surveys and detail drawings Senior Facade Designer Create drawings, using relevant specifications, where design is applicable. Go to site and site office (3-4 days per week) and complete surveys, take photos in order to create design drawings. Liaise with Design Manager, commercial and project manager to ensure design is within budget. Update drawings based on accurate site surveyed information. Senior Facade Designer Role Responsibilities: Creation, monitoring and revision of assigned drawings. Liaison with manufacturers and project teams including distribution of relevant documentation. Respond to technical queries and make recommendations to fix problems. Respond to adhoc problems and raise with D&Q manager accordingly. Undertake site inspections to monitor and manage technical quality of works and ensure they are carried out as per specifications and manufacturers' recommendations. Senior Facade Design Key Tasks Ensure information is available for site set up in line with requirements, from job start to close. As advised by D&Q manager, visit sites on a planned and adhoc basis. Attend regular meetings with site teams, as required. Create fabrication drawings and issue to buying department for procurement. Collate relevant information for relevant standards to pass to client and funder as appropriate. Make recommendations for changes, to D&Q manager. Senior Facade Design Skills and Qualifications: Engineering or Architect related studies or equivalent experience CSCS card basic level Facades experience, EWI, cladding, rainscreen experience is essential Competent user MS Excel, MS Word, Microsoft Outlook email and calendars.
