We are looking for hard working and dynamic individuals to come aboard and be a part of the next generation of the Zodiac Maritime team!The rolePosition: Post Fixtures Supervisor (Chemical)Reporting to: Head of Post FixturesContract type: Full TimeLocation: LondonOverview of role As the Post Fixtures Supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring the timely receipt of monies owing to the Principals and negotiating any disputed amounts with Charterers.Key responsibilities and primary deliverables Calculating and collecting freight and hire charges as per Charter Party (C/P) terms for respective vesselsCalculating demurrage Generating accurate and well documented claimsMaintaining and reconciling each vessels account profileResponding on behalf of Principals to charterers queriesReviewing C/P details and liaising with brokers on amendments Maintaining finances for all Chartered In vessels, including payment of hire/freightCalculate, maintain and report cash flow/revenue on daily basis and provide Finance department with projected weekly incomeReportsAnalyse demurrage trends to understand changes and to support the businessProduce weekly and ad hoc reports and maintain and distribute demurrage metricsDocumentation ManagementAccurately maintain data and records in the correct databases and foldersLiaise with the Master or Agent to ensure that all required supporting documentation is received, acceptable and processedFreight, Lay-time and Demurrage AdministrationEnsure you are continually updated and have full knowledge of the charter party including the laycan/laydays, vessels itinerary, last cargoes and freight and demurrage ratesMonitor receipts of freight, demurrage and other incoming paymentsCommunicationAssist in building strong relationships between the Principals and CharterersAssist in building strong cross departmental working relationshipsEnsure all communication is clear, concise and accurateSkills profile Relevant experience & education Strong academic record with professional qualifications in maritime would be an advantageMinimum of 4 years experience working within Chemical Post FixturesDemonstrated understanding of charter party agreements and their various clausesKnowledge and understanding of marine and terminal operationsStrong interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate and maintain strong relationships across the businessWell-developed numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills, with strategic thinking ability to support decisions with sound reasoning and judgementExceptional organisational skills and experience of prioritising changing workflows to support deliveryPositive attitude, strong work ethic, collaborative in style and excellent communication skillsDue to the high volume of applications, we regret that only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
