Planet Pharma are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Electronics Technician to join our team. This role requires a background in electronics and calibration, with soldering experience and a solid understanding of mechanical assembly. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, capable of working independently and taking initiative to maintain an organized and efficient lab environment.Location: London (East) (Site-based, 4 - 5 days a week)Key Responsibilities:Perform soldering tasks using basic soldering equipment.Mechanical assembly including drilling work.Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with existing products and PCBAs.Manage component selection and update schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer.Create BoM (Bill of Materials) and prepare Cable Assembly Drawings.Conduct bring-up and commissioning testing of complex PCBAs.Maintain and organize lab materials, ensuring everything is up-to-date and in its correct place.Collaborate with engineering teams and other departments to drive projects forward.Qualifications:Minimum of 5 years' experience in electronics or related fields.Soldering experience and familiarity with basic soldering equipment.Mechanical background with hands-on experience in assembly and drilling.Proficiency in CAD is a plus.Strong understanding of PCBA design, component location, and PCB troubleshooting.Ability to work independently, take initiative, and problem-solve without engineer input.Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.Knowledge of Altium Designer for schematic and PCB layout updates.If you have a passion for electronics, a strong mechanical and calibration background, and thrive in a self-driven environment, we would love to hear from you.
