This role is responsible for identifying opportunities for business growth and operational efficiencies. This can range from day to day analysis and planning through to long-term staff and budget planning. As part of this role you will be responsible for day to day and weekly interactions with colleagues regarding rosterting, holidays and other aspects of roster planning.Key Responsibilities:Rostering and AnalyticsTaking site forecasts and creating rosters from these to maximise warehouse and driving teams productivityPlan and schedule colleague duties (Warehouse and Last Mile), according to skill sets in order to ensure that resources meet forecasted business demand profiles and that staffing is to be operationally effective 24x7.Manage and promote Flexible Roster options (Ocado Core, Trade, Boost, Anchor and Fix)Day to day workload balancing including break times and work areaManage long term plans and short notice changes to maintain staffing resilience levels, continually revising schedules to ensure demand is met, whilst complying with working time regulations, health & safety legislation, Ocado policy, Ocado regulations, terms & conditions and diversity policy.To identify possible savings, opportunities for change and improvements for the department and support their implementationPeople & CommunicationHelp to manage account with agency providersProactively resolve roster-related conflicts with colleagues and managers, in order to maintain good employee relations balanced with the needs of the business.Supporting the Management teams on the core Planning systems, providing training where requiredBuild positive working relationships with Team Managers and Coordinators to promote benefits of Ocado Flexible Roster optionsOther responsibilitiesSupport Management team with the challenges of a non-agency workforce, including People managementEnsuring all relevant training and regular refresher training is achievedGeocode management for Zoom siteKey SkillsStrong leadership, people management and team building skills as demonstrated in previous rolesWell organised, able to handle operational day to day duties as well as ad-hoc tasks, able to respond quickly to changing prioritiesGood analytical skills with great attention to detailProactive and positive attitude.High levels of customer serviceExcellent problem solving skillsAdvance excel (desirable)The ideal candidate will/have:An ability to motivate and manage people to achieve the goalsA confident and positive outlookBe self motivated and able to work individually or as part of a teamFlexible approach to working hours to support 24/7 business operation, this role will include occasional weekend workingAn ability to handle operational day to day duties with workload coming from additional responsibilitiesAn ability to work independently and under pressureServe as key participant in team meetingsAn ability to adapt to a changing environmentAn ability to communicate effectively at all employee levelsProblem solving and analytical capabilityAn ability to confront issues openly and quicklyTake responsibility for personal development and actively seek opportunities for improvementAn Ability to working quickly and accurately while under pressureWhat we offer you:Our award-winning recognition scheme celebrates your contributions.
