Research Manager/Associate Director quantitative researchWere seeking a Research Manager or Associate Director to join our Media, Brands, & Communications team.The successful candidate will be driven, analytical and organised. They will already be operating at an Associate Director level although may currently have the title of Research Manager.The role is an exciting opportunity to gain further experience and develop in a growing UK agency, part of the international BVA Family.We are looking for someone with a strong quantitative background with experience of robustly designing, setting up and running a range of different quantitative studies to meet a variety of research objectives. They will be comfortable engaging with clients and will have a desire to grow accounts and support the development of new ideas. They should bring a growth mindset, a desire to innovate and be focused on their personal & professional development.The clientsThe teams main clients are Ofcom, BBC, Channel 4, CNN, News UK and Sky.As such, experience of working with these or comparable public sector organisations or media owners will be a big advantage.Whats the role?The role will be with the award-winning Media. Brands, & Communications team.The work is varied and challenging. For those that want to, there is a chance to develop both qualitative and quantitative skills and the role will provide flexibility to work on a mix of ad-hoc and continuous projects across online, CATI and F2F methodologies.What youll doWork on complex multi-method projects with detailed quotas and hard-to-reach audiences.Lead projects / be part of a project team, working with other business units within the BVA Family to deliver high quality insights to our clients.Take responsibility for the quality and execution of projects, overseeing the work of more junior members of the team.Help incorporate the use of AI for the benefit of colleagues, projects and clients.Review project findings, integrating contextual data and presenting key messages to clients, as well as advising them on recommendations and next steps.Be involved in day-to-day team management, ensuring projects run smoothly.Have management responsibilities for the work of more junior colleagues and their on-going development.Respond to client opportunities, helping to prepare/input into costs and proposals.Start to develop an external presence in the market and build strong relationships with clients, developing client loyalty and winning business.Contribute ideas to business development and team strategy.Contribute to the achievement of key account targets and business growth.What youll bringCandidates must be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:Outstanding project management, an ability to work to deadlines and juggle competing priorities.An eye for detail and accuracy at all stages.The ability to interpret and synthesise data (both numbers and words) and draw out implications for our clients.Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and guide colleagues, clients, and suppliers.Creative thinking and problem solving, capable of challenging the status quo and driving effective improvements.Excellent, fluent, written and spoken English.A high level of competence in working with both Excel and PowerPoint.Knowledge of Q and/or SPSS is also an advantageProfessional experience, ideally within a research agency, evidencing well-rounded and developing research skills across the project cycle including project design, development of fieldwork materials, management of fieldwork and analysis/reporting together with an awareness of market trends and competitive pressures.At least a basic understanding of different statistical techniques and their application.What youll enjoyCompetitive salary.Discretionary year-end bonus.Hybrid working, mixing home with our London offices in Kings Cross and Angel.26 days annual leave, increasing with service.A variety of employee benefits including free gym access and shopping and entertainment discounts.Monthly social events and regular CSR activities.Comprehensive training programme.Progression based on achievements, not time in role.Supportive and collaborative culture.Investment in your personal development and growth.
