EC&I Engineer Location: Devizes, UKStart: March 2025Salary: 35,000 - 45, 000 GROSS PAOccasional visits to site will be requiredFull driving licence neededWe are recruiting an EC&I Engineer to join the team based in Devizes. The job holder will be responsible for the technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and project management skills to successfully deliver electrical and control system solutions across industrial projects and bulk materials handling and drying plant and machinery. EC&I Engineer looking to grow into a Project Engineering/ Management this role could be for you!!!Role Overview As an EC&I Engineer you will play a key role in the design, implementation, and commissioning of electrical and control systems across various industrial projects. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with High Voltage (HV) and Low Voltage (LV) electrical regulations, working with PLC design and commissioning, and assisting in the planning and execution of electrical projects. This role requires a strong technical understanding of electrical distribution systems, automation, and industry standards to support project success.Personal Qualities: Capable of working on own initiative.Ability to work to deadlines and to manage time efficiently.Good communications skills.Have a naturally positive can-do attitude to solving client solution issues.ReliableEssential Requirements: BSc/BEng degree in Electrical Engineering or a related fieldMinimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in electrical/control engineering Good understanding of current industry standardsAbility to interpret and apply engineering codes and standardsUnderstanding of mechanical and control processesExperience with electrical/control software and toolsProficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) softwareExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environmentStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsA natural curiosity to learn new technologies and solutionsGood organisational skills and attention to detailAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyRole Description:Analyze technical drawings, interpret specifications, and determine electrical/control requirements.Collaborate with suppliers, contractors, and engineers to develop designs.Prepare detailed drawings, specifications, and reports using CAD software.Recommend cost-effective solutions while ensuring compliance with engineering standards.Conduct risk assessments, propose mitigations, and oversee on-site activities.Diagnose issues, provide repair/modification recommendations, and document findings.Take ownership of tasks, ensuring accuracy, adherence to British Standards, and timely completion.Maintain clear, effective communication within project teams.Follow ISO9001 and company procedures, contributing to continuous improvement.Develop strong relationships with technology providers and ensure compliant solutions.Produce subcontract specifications and evaluate tenders for compliance and value.Manage teams to deliver technical documents on time and within budget.If you are an EC&I Engineer looking to grow into a Project Engineering/ Management role please apply via : adrienne.kettlewell@goldgroup.co.uk
