Job Title: Community Network CoordinatorHours: Full-Time (35 hours per week)Location: HybridSalary: 36,000 per annumDepartment: CommercialReports to: Head of MembershipThe organisation is a leading professional body, with over 125 years of experience in educating and supporting professionals. The Commercial department is responsible for membership recruitment, engagement, and support, as well as delivering training products and services. This is achieved through coordinated efforts across marketing, communications, outreach, business development, and events teams.Purpose of the RoleThe Community Network Coordinator will be responsible for cultivating a vibrant and engaged online community and branch network that aligns with a clear purpose and values. This role is instrumental in connecting with members, volunteers, and the wider public across digital platforms. The role involves supporting local branches to develop successful events that engage members, keeping committees updated on key initiatives, and ensuring they understand and fulfil their responsibilities.Main ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary contact for branch officers, providing guidance and support.Develop an understanding of branch demographics and provide strategic advice to support their growth and engagement initiatives.Process event requests, prepare invitations, set up events in the system, send joining instructions, manage reminders, and update attendance records to trigger CPD (Continuing Professional Development) notifications.Lead community engagement strategies across digital platforms, including social media, learning management system (LMS) forums, and the website.Actively seek and analyse community feedback to inform engagement strategies.Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., marketing and volunteer management) to align community activities with organisational objectives.Regularly report on community engagement metrics, trends, and opportunities.Support the marketing team to track and optimise local engagement efforts.Assist with sourcing speakers, venues, and resources to enhance branch-led events.Maintain accurate records and regularly report on branch activities.What are your goals?Increase the number of both virtual and in-person branch events.Expand and develop the organisations online community offerings.Strengthen branch involvement in cross-organisational initiatives.What skills, knowledge and experience will you need to thrive?Understanding of professional bodies and member networks.Awareness of the needs and activities of governance professionals.Knowledge of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) systems.ExperienceAt least five years' experience working within a professional body or trade association.Strong background in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.Experience in event planning and outreach activities.SkillsExcellent interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in helping others.Passion for supporting both individuals and groups in achieving their goals.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to engage and mobilise stakeholders at different levels.Proactive multitasker with strong organisational abilities.Ability to persuade and influence effectively.BehavioursFriendly, warm, and approachable.Confident and solutions-focused.Takes initiative while also being a strong team player.Committed to high standards and continuous learning.Works with a positive attitude and resilience.Special CircumstancesWillingness to occasionally work early mornings and evenings.Some travel required.BenefitsPension: Participation in a Group Personal Pension scheme.Life Assurance SchemeIncome Protection InsuranceSeason Ticket LoanEmployee Perks: Access to a savings platform (Perkbox).Cycle to Work SchemeEmployee Assistance Programme (EAP) 24/7 confidential helpline.Volunteering Leave: Two additional paid leave days per year for volunteering.Eye Care Benefits: Vouchers covering annual eye tests and contributions towards glasses.Moving Day Leave: One paid day off per year to facilitate moving house.Training and Development: Opportunities for continued learning and professional growth.Annual Leave: 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays.
