This role is key to supporting the development of a high-performance industrial diesel engine range, focusing on engine calibration, data analysis, and performance validation.The position requires a skilled engineer who can take ownership of planning and delivering engineering activities, ensuring that all development work meets the highest standards of quality and compliance.Key ResponsibilitiesDiesel engine performance and emissions calibrationMechanical verification and validation of engine components and systemsDefining and managing component validation plansCoordinating day-to-day engineering activities, including test and analysis managementConducting failure analysis and defect resolution using industry-standard methodsPreparing technical reports and presenting findingsEnsuring compliance with company procedures and quality standardsSupporting the design function through FMEA participationCollaborating with engineering teams across multiple sitesOccasional overseas travel as requiredKey CompetenciesExpertise in diesel engine performance and emissions calibrationStrong data analysis and reporting skillsDecision-making and problem-solving abilityInnovation and project leadershipEffective communication and presentation of resultsStrong planning and organisational skillsTeamwork and collaborationQualifications & ExperienceEssential:Engineering degree or equivalent qualification/experienceProven experience in engine performance and emissions calibration, data analysis, and reportingKnowledge of emissions measurement techniques, global emission regulations, and emissions hardwareUnderstanding of control system development, fuel system optimisation, and turbocharger matchingProficiency in MS Office and technical report writingStrong knowledge of industrial diesel engine systems, including cooling, lubrication, and air systemsDesirable:Experience with CANAPE and Osiris high-speed data captureFamiliarity with FMEA processes and validation techniquesThis is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer to contribute to the ongoing development of cutting-edge diesel engine technology within a dynamic and innovative environment.
