Role: Senior Project Manager Location: Merseyside, UK Reports To: Head of DeliveryOur Client is an established, fast-growing project developer with proven expertise delivering projects in the UK energy sector; an area which they will be more prevalent in the coming years as they transition to IPP. A growing company with an already robust project portfolio and pipeline in place for further generation and storage projects, our Clients team is passionate about driving success and delivering exceptional results. During this exciting period of transition, our Client is seeking a full time employee to drive the delivery of critical projects in Solar, BESS and Gas Peaking with the aim being to build a further team around them. Currently there is a Head of Delivery in situ whos been embedded in the business for the last 8 years. The successful candidate will bolster the expertise we have in house and seek to build the skillsets required to progress our Clients delivery capability with alacrity. Role and responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to the following; Our Client is looking for someone who shares their passion and commitment to improving the UKs energy infrastructure. You will be an experienced, self-motivated and independent individual who is passionate about creating and delivering exemplar-level quality projects and to play a leading role in their Delivery Team.The successful candidate will have experience in, and understanding of, the full development spectrum - from design, through procurement, to manufacture, delivery, testing and commissioning and the transition to operations & maintenance. The successful incumbent will also need to be capable of developing and maintaining lasting and trusted relationships with our Clients customers and supply chain partners. Knowledge and experience required; Proven years of experience in leading the delivery of multi-project programmes in the energy or other highly serviced sectors (e.g. infrastructure, manufacturing, process engineering, medical, automated distribution, etc.) Proven experience in Solar, BESS and Gas Peaking projects is essentialBe genuinely and demonstrably interested in improving the UKs energy infrastructureBe able to show a proven track record of motivating and leading multidisciplinary internal and external teams to deliver exceptional resultsBe flexible and able to travel to sites on a visiting basis when needed Be enthused and energised at the prospect of participating in developing and growing a scale-up businessBe inspiring, personable and confident in social and professional settingsSkills / Qualifications To be successful you'll need a genuine demonstrable interest in, and passion for, delivering high quality, complex multi-site projects safely, collaboratively, on time and to budgetHighly resilient, energetic and agile - capable of leading projects in different phases, different regions and with different teamsA clean UK driving licence with access to a vehicleExperience in developing and maintaining positive internal, client and stakeholder relationshipsA recognised and relevant degree or professional qualification in engineering, project or construction management Significant preference given to candidates with proven experience of the UK energy marketA preference would be given to candidates with a relevant qualification in a related field such as project planning, health and safety, supply chain management, quality management or control, etc. Benefits available Investors in People Silver EmployerCompany bonus scheme (discretionary)25 days annual leave per annum + bank holidaysFlexible working available On-site ParkingPrivate Healthcare (available from day 1)Use of Pool car(s)1 professional Membership paid annually.Supported personal development and CPD OpportunitiesPension contribution
