We are supporting Hospitals, Universities, New Build developments, Towns and Cities as well as Industrial and Commercial clients to decarbonise their buildings.We have and continue to work on ground-breaking projects throughout the UK which are supporting the UKs Net Zero targets, such as the recently announced 1 billion low-carbon infrastructure project for Westminster.With plans to double our headcount over the coming years, supported by offices opening in new locations across the country and our strong investment pipeline, coupled with our expansion into new markets such as industrial power generation with our very own Energy-from-Waste facility, there is no better time to join the family here at Vital Energi.The OpportunityWe are looking for several new Maintenance Engineers from Mechanical or Electrical backgrounds to join our O&M team looking after commercial and industrial-scale Energy & Heating sites mainly covering Middlesborough, Northallerton and York. This role would suit those from a Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance background where they have gained experience looking after equipment such as boilers, motors, generators, engines, pumps, turbines or similar, and where they are now at a stage in their career where theyd like to transition into the Renewable Energy industry where they can work on a variety of complex, high-profile projects. Any experience with Steam Raising plant will be highly advantageous. Those leaving the Armed Forces are also invited to apply as training can be provided.The RoleReporting to the Regional Operations Manager you will be responsible for:Delivering Planned Preventative and Reactive Maintenance for plantrooms and renewable energy systems at both private and public sector facilities such as residential blocks, stations, museums, hospitals etc.Supporting with the installation and commissioning of new equipmentProviding technical assistance to clients, contractors and work colleagues within sphere of operation and fulfilling customer service requirements while meeting QHSE objectivesEnsuring statutory and mandatory inspections are satisfactorily carried out and documented in line with the companys management systemAccurately maintaining and submitting relevant documentation and records as requiredUndertaking subcontractor management where necessaryResponding to issues as part of a callout rotaSkills/Experience:Recognised engineering qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering, or time-served in a relevant maintenance positionExperience with Heating, HVAC, Power Generation or Steam Raising plantFull UK manual driving licenceForces Leavers also encouraged to apply as training can be providedThe PackageSalary negotiable DOEVehicle and fuel cardContributory Company Pension SchemeNon-contributory death-in-service insuranceEmployee Assistance Programme25 Days Holiday plus 8 days bank holidays.Additional holidays awarded in line with length of serviceOption to purchase/sell additional holidaysOnsite gym/wellbeing centre at our Blackburn Head OfficeDiscounted gym membership across the UKEV charging points where possibleCycle to work schemeApplications will be processed within 28 days of receipt.
