A growing US based biotech business is advancing a number of best in class therapies for hematological malignancies and is looking for UK based oncologists/haematologists to work on a remote basis. They have an open role for and Executive Medical Director, Haematology Clinical Development to be based out of their London office but to work remotely. .You will join a team of highly motivated, collaborative professionals who share a passionate interest in fighting cancer. The bulk of the clinical team is based in the US so there will be a requirement to work late hours but the company would also consider an eventual relocation to the US if desired.General Description:The Executive Medical Director, Haematology will support Clinical and Medical Haematology assets by successful execution of clinical development programs and deliverables in partnership across the organization; with external vendors; and with external academicians and collaboration partners.As a leader in the organization, the incumbent will be involved in clinical program strategy and helping to assure that activities are executed within expected scope, budget and timelines. You will play a key role the establishment and growth of Clinical Research functions to assure best-in-class global capabilities and execution.Essential Functions of the job:Facilitate generation of, author, update, and/or review key documents, including, but not limited to: Clinical study reports, abstracts, posters and manuscripts, clinical sections of INDs (and equivalent applications), NDAs (and equivalent applications), annual reports, and developmental safety update reports, clinical sections of Health Authority Briefing Documents, Orphan Drug applicationsRisks / benefits analysis for applicable documentsClinical Development PlansPartner with clinical operations and other functional areas for the successful implementation and execution of clinical studiesProvide scientific expertise for selection of investigator and vendorsTrain colleagues, CRO staff, and study site staff on the therapeutic area, molecule, and clinical protocolProvide scientific and medical support throughout conduct of a clinical trial; respond to clinical questions from sites, IRBs/IECs, Health Authorities, and CROsEducation Required:MD requiredRequired Experience:Previous experience within other biotech/pharmaceutical.Ideally subspecialty training in hematology/oncology.Previous participation in a clinical development program is essential, including involvement in all stages of clinical trials (i.e. from start up to study report), ideally having taken at least one study through from start to finish in a clinical scientist roleClinical oncology experience: candidates with exceptional experience in other therapeutic areas would be considered if they demonstrated clear potential to apply their existing skills to oncologyExpert understanding of global clinical study design and drug development process from discovery to registration and post-marketingFor more information on this fast growing company, their exciting pipeline and more about the role please CLICK APPLY and forward an up to date CV.
