Branch and Community Manager About the Role Are you passionate about community engagement and fostering meaningful relationships? Join our client's Membership and Professional Standards Team as a Branch and Community Manager. This role is key to shaping and executing a strategy that broadens their engagement with members, non-members, and partners. You will collaborate closely with the Director of Membership and Professional Standards, the Branch Liaison Officer, and the Events, Partnerships, and Communication teams to drive engagement, recruitment, and retention efforts.Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver a branches and community strategy (including Special Interest Groups) that supports membership growth and retention.Design a branch engagement plan, including regional events, webinars, site visits, and other activities, to drive member and partner interactions.Work with the Head of Partnerships to create sponsorship packages for branch programmes and events.Manage the branch budget, governance procedures, and related documentation.Collaborate with the Head of Events and attend third-party events to enhance membership awareness and engagement.Plan, deliver, and promote engaging virtual and in-person events in collaboration with the events and communications teams.Collect and assess feedback from members, delegates, branches, and groups to improve engagement and enhance the member value proposition.Drive recruitment, induction, and recognition of branch volunteers.Line manage the Branch and Community Officer, supporting their development.Assist with integrating branch and group activities across other functions of the organisation, such as Policy, Publications, and Education.Provide membership guidance and support through regional branches.Essential Skills and ExperienceProven experience in volunteer management and community engagement.Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.Ability to manage time and resources efficiently, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines.Competence using CRM systems and reporting tools.A problem-solving mindset with excellent written and spoken English and a strong eye for detail.Flexible, self-motivated, and enthusiastic about learning new skills.Line management experience and the ability to motivate and develop others.Willingness to travel nationally and internationally to attend branch events and committee meetings.Desirable Skills and ExperiencePrevious experience working in a Professional Institution.Interest or understanding of environmental issues.
