You will also undertake excel based modelling, desktop research, and technical report writing. You will be involved in multiple projects at once. These may involve supporting local authorities in developing carbon baselines and decarbonisation plans. working with businesses to quantify the environmental impact of their products and to reduce their carbon footprint, or supporting national or supranational governmental bodies to develop emissions reduction policies. This role is client facing and will encompass a range of activities including project management, team co-ordination, client relationship management, report writing and client bid management. You will be involved and be required to contribute and/or manage multiple projects simultaneously, working predominantly to support both public and private sector clients in a diverse range of market areas, applying creative, practical, common sense thinking to solve real-world problems. You will work alongside colleagues to deliver projects that meet clients needs. You will be flexible, with a strong work ethic. You will be highly organised, and share our commitment to a high quality of work, as well as being able to demonstrate a personal commitment to tackling environmental and sustainability issues. Essential Criteria At least two years experience of undertaking GHG emissions analysis and/or supporting the development of decarbonisation plans or strategies to time, budget and client satisfaction; Good technical understanding of GHG emission footprinting, and the strengths and weaknesses of various carbon accounting standards including the GHG Protocol; Demonstrable experience of applying creative, practical, common sense thinking to solve real-world problems; Proven organisational skills, working in a calm, logical way to deliver tasks efficiently; Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with multiple colleagues, peers, and external clients; Fluent in spoken and written English, with strong verbal and written communication skills, including technical report writing; Good interpersonal skills, including the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and engagingly; Excellent all-round IT skills, including the use of Microsoft Office; Willingness to muck-in and carry out a range of tasks as required. Desirable Criteria Experience of working within the consultancy business model; knowledge and understanding of SBTi; Holding a degree, especially a post-graduate qualification, in a relevant discipline; Strong research & data analysis skills, including manipulation of large datasets; Experience working with local authorities and other public bodies; Experience of analysing scope 3 emissions and territorial emissions at a sub-national level; Experience working within the consultancy business model; A demonstrable commitment to continuous learning and improvement so as to achieve high standards.
