Job Title: Senior Hardware EngineerSalary: up to 50,000 per annum dependent upon experienceLocation: Rochester, KentWe currently have a vacancy to join one of the worlds leading, global defence, security and aerospace companies as a Senior Hardware Engineer. The role will be based in Rochester, Kent and offers the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible working hours. Individual circumstances can be discussed.They work at the cutting edge of technology, creating more than 100 new inventions every year for customers in over 100 countries.As a Senior Hardware Engineer you will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team to formulate and optimise innovative hardware engineering solutions, for products such as Helmet Mounted & Head-Up Displays, Mission Computers, Flight Controls, Active Inceptors, and other associated safety-critical technology.This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with innovating cutting-edge projects as a member of a very experienced diverse team, with the view to progressing your career in this industry.Main Responsibilities: Executing complex hardware design tasks in accordance with the hardware development plan, whilst meeting agreed timescales and allocated budgetsConducting hardware requirements capture, preliminary design, detailed design including a range of analysis tasksCoaching & developing the skills of junior team membersDelivering design artefacts in accordance with company and industry standardsWorking with other disciplines within an integrated teamYoull also have people manager responsibilities in this roleBenefits:Enhanced Pension scheme- up to 14% combinedFlexible working pattern including working from home/ flexible start and finish times25 holiday days plus bank holidays- 26 days after 5 years service/ 27 days after 10 years serviceShared Incentive PlanEmployee Assistance ProgrammeCycle to Work SchemeLife Assurance (you and your spouse/ partner)- 6 x salaryIll Health Income Protection/ Private Medical Insurance- 50% of salaryAbout You:Essential:Degree/HND in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualificationProven knowledge and experience of digital &/or analogue electronics technologiesExperience of working through the engineering development lifecycle, from concept to product certificationAbility to demonstrate a good appreciation of cost and schedule constraints on designs, to meet programme needsAn inquisitive mind-set, articulate, with excellent written and verbal communication skillsDesirable:Mentor Graphics Expedition EnterpriseAnalogue simulations tools, such as Simetrix or SpiceSystem development tools, such as Enterprise Architect, Matlab, SimulinkYou must be eligible to apply for SC clearance and, therefore, must hold a British passport and have lived and worked in the UK for the past 5 yearsAbout Aeropeople:Whether youre looking for your next job or searching out the next superstar to join your teamAeropeoples expertise and experience is entrenched in the aerospace, aviation, engineering, motorsport, automotive, and defence industries.
