This individual will be responsible for shaping and evolving TGSNs visual identity, ensuring brand consistency across all communication channels, and driving innovative design solutions that effectively communicate our mission and impact. As a key leader within the organisation, the Design Lead will collaborate across teams to develop compelling visual narratives with our project implementation teams and lead brand strategy initiatives with our strategists. The ideal candidate will be highly collaborative, have a strategic mindset, and be able to generate and implement ideas independently.TGSN is a team of field researchers, analysts, programme implementers, software and machine learning engineers and thought leaders dedicated to doing development differently. The role will report to the Founder and Senior Leadership Team.The team is partly based in London (UK), and partly international who predominantly work UK hours we are open to remote UK candidates, but preference is for someone based around London that can come to our London office twice a week.Key Responsibilities Define and lead the creative vision and strategy for TGSN, ensuring alignment with the organisations mission and objectives.Oversee and manage the development and execution of all visual communications, including reports, presentations, marketing materials, and digital assets.Define and maintain TGSNs brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and high standards across all touchpoints.Lead the conceptualisation and design of impactful, on-brand, multi-page documents, ensuring clear and effective communication of complex data and insights.Oversee the creation and maintenance of Microsoft Office templates (Word, PowerPoint) and provide guidance to teams on their use.Act as a brand ambassador, providing training and support to ensure company-wide adherence to brand standards and raising the overall quality of visual communications.Collaborate with internal stakeholdersincluding business development, research, and analytics teamsto translate complex ideas into compelling visual narratives.Drive innovation in data storytelling by integrating advanced data visualisation techniques and infographics into TGSNs reports and presentations.Stay ahead of design trends, tools, and best practices to continuously refine and elevate the creative output of the organisation.Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables maintain a high level of quality.Essential Skills, Experience & QualificationsBachelors degree in Graphic Design, Communication Design, or a related field.Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a creative leadership role, ideally within an in-house or agency environment.Strong track record of developing and executing successful brand and visual communication strategies.Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
