Position: Junior Full Stack Developer ( React )Project Overview:We are a fast-growing fintech company, specialising in structured product trading solutions. Our flagship platform is designed to help clients seamlessly price new structured products and monitor their portfolios in real-time. By joining our team, you will be at the forefront of revolutionising how our clients manage and understand their structured product portfolios.Responsibilities:Front-End Development:Develop and maintain user interfaces using JavaScript, TypeScript, React, and Next.js.Use HTML/CSS and at least one CSS framework (Bootstrap, MaterialUI, etc.) to build responsive UIs.Integrate front-end components with REST APIs, handling JSON data and ensuring smooth user experiences.Back-End Development:Implement and maintain RESTful services in JavaScript/TypeScript.Work with SQL and NoSQL databases to manage structured product pricing and portfolio data.Collaborate with senior team members to learn about microservices architecture and contribute to its development.Version Control & Collaboration:Use Git for code versioning (clone, pull, push, branching, merging, etc.).Follow best practices for commit messages, code reviews, and version control.Technical Growth & Support:Troubleshoot and debug issues across the stack, including front-end performance and back-end functionality.Collaborate with QA and support teams to address system-level issues.Continuously learn about cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps processes (with senior guidance).OOP & Modeling:Apply fundamental OOP concepts when writing and organizing code.Understand database structures to effectively manage client and market data.Required Qualifications:Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).Programming Languages: Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript. Basic knowledge of lambda functions (e.g., AWS Lambda) is a plus.Front-End: Familiarity with React, Next.js, HTML, CSS, and at least one major CSS library.Back-End: Ability to create REST services and interact with SQL and NoSQL databases.Version Control: Hands-on experience with Git (clone, pull, push, branching, merging, etc.).General Knowledge: Basic understanding of OOP principles and database structures.Soft Skills: Strong communication, willingness to learn, and ability to collaborate within a cross-functional team.Nice-to-Have Skills:Exposure to microservices architecture.Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).Familiarity with unit testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha, etc.).Knowledge of DevOps pipelines (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD).
