The team at Christian Jobs are managing the recruitment process for this position on behalf of All Souls Serve the City Job Title: Volunteer Manager, Tamar Maternity CoverEmployment: 17th Feb 2025 to 13th Feb 2026Salary: 28,395 per annum inclusive of London Living Allowance (prorated from 35,493)Department: All Souls Serve the CityLocation: All Souls Clubhouse, 141 Cleveland StreetHours: 4 days per week (requires flexible evening hours, fortnightly Thursday evening outreach and occasional weekends)TamarTamar is our ministry to women involved in sexual exploitation, some of whom have been trafficked. Formed in 2013 in Westminster, Tamar relies on a network of female volunteers who reach out to be-friend people caught up in the sex industry, offering hope through a broad range of practical, emotional and spiritual support, as well as sharing the good news of the gospel.The RoleOversees all aspects of volunteer recruitment, coordination, training and support including the on-going development of Tamar volunteersPlans for people resources over time, ensuring Tamar has a pipeline of volunteers to engage in all aspects of the ministryWorks closely with the Head of Tamar to assess the effectiveness of support provision to volunteers and drives operational improvementsMaintains and documents all effective operational processes and policies concerning all volunteers, identifying improvements and developing others as requiredLiaises with All Souls finance team regarding aspects of Tamars finances relating to volunteersLiaises other ASSTC ministries, as required on volunteer management and other tasks.Acts as a representative of Tamar and ASSTC, including speaking at internal and external events, participating in team meetings and leading prayer times, as requiredResponsible for data entry control and quality checking. Producing reports as required.Assists with other aspects of the day-to-day running of Tamar, as requiredThere is an occupational requirement that the job-holder is female and a Christian under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.Safeguarding: conditional offers will be made pending the successful completion of an enhanced DBS check which will be processed by All SoulsPlease note: We can only consider applicants that have a legal right to work in the UK.Desired start date: As soon as possible but ideally by 17th Feb 2025.
