Job Description

Aureos is looking for an HSQE Auditor to oversee the audit and compliance needs of our operations in Scotland and Northern Ireland.This role is essential in providing independent auditing support for our business units, ensuring that all necessary reports are completed promptly and submitted for review.Primary Tasks and DutiesTo participate in the completion of the audit plan, both internal and externalTo ensure the necessary Aureos and BU Standards are in place at all Aureos locations.To oversee both internal and external audits ensuring necessary evidence is compiled.To communicate with the Heads of HSQE and relevant Operations staff, ensuring audit requirements are met and prep completed.To ensure all necessary compliance reporting is completed for the Heads of HSQE and the Senior Team.To manage and facilitate both internal and external audits ensuring necessary evidence is compiled.To assist in the development and improvement of process with the relevant operations personnel in all areas supporting the Lead AuditorTo provide independent review of the BUs systems and compliance with relevant Legislation, Standards and Company process.To support the Heads of HSQE to ensure the promotion of common process across all Aureos BUs and the reduction of redundant process.Secondary Tasks and DutiesTo communicate updates/changes/improvements in both systems and working process to and with Operations and Compliance/HSQE Teams.To provide independent review of the BUs systems and compliance with relevant Legislation, Standards and Company process.To provide and promote support for compliance issues from the BUs.As a team, manage and communicate with reporters and satisfactorily close any Documentation related Aureos Contributions.Creation and updating of common evidence folders for audits.Procedural reviews for all areas with a common focus ensuring all are in date, updated with the owners and changes briefed out.Management of LUS and Management Reviews for all BUs.Management of NCR close out process with operations.Management of the Legal Compliance and standards update MeetingsTo complete audits as requiredSupport the Heads of HSQETo manage necessary travel and location visits.To ensure all necessary compliance reporting is completed for the Heads of HSQE and the Senior Team.To provide and promote support for compliance issues from the BUs.Qualifications and TrainingEssentialNEBOSH National General Certificate, Occupational Health and SafetyInternal Auditor TrainingAt least 3 years experience of AuditingExcellent computer skills Microsoft Office, Adobe PDFApproachable and helpful attitudeExcellent knowledge and understanding of management systemsWillingness to travelProven ability to interact with the BU staff at all levelsFlexible and willing to learn how different business streams workDesirablePIEMA or environmental experienceBenefitsVehicle or allowanceHealth CoverSubsistenceHoliday 25 days + Bank HolidaysEqual opportunitiesAureos are an equal opportunities employer, and we are determined to ensure that no applicant or employee receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of gender, age disability, religion, belief, sexual orientation, marital status or race, or is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements which cannot be shown to be justifiable.
