Group Executive Head Chef / Executive Head Chef - Birmingham - Base Circa 50k+ Group Head Chef / Executive Head Chef Wanted for established restaurant group with a small number of sites. Salary is negotiable circa 50k Base Level. This role is NOT the norm. Our client is fully committed to finding a highly skilled, professional Exec Chef. The client operates incredibly well reviewed, established restaurants. The food is not fine dining rather elegant casual. The plan is to attract a level of talent to this role that aligns perfectly with the Directors ethos, someone that can be central to the strategy for the business for the long term. You will be working in lockstep with a group of highly successful Director entrepreneurs who are well financed & bring a sense of calm, consistent decision making & a proven commercial acumen. Our client is looking for a professional, diligent & skilled Head Chef / Executive Head Chef with experience of leading similar high quality kitchens. The Directors are keen to hire a successful & proven entrepreneurial Group Head Chef / Executive Head Chef who also has a proven track record of being involved in building significant businesses over the long term. This will be a hands-on Group Executive Head Chef role - leading a team from the front & would suit someone who wants to break free from their current company constraints & shoot the lights out with their next move. You will have autonomy over menu strategy & suppliers and will be given the space to spread your wings. The client is looking to lock someone in for the long term with this appointment & are offering circa 50k base salary. The client is open to candidates from high quality restaurant or Gastro pub backgrounds but you must have been working at a senior Head Chef level for a minimum of 5 years. This is a Group Exec Head Chef role that isn't going to be for everyone. It's aimed at Head Chefs who are growing tired of the thankless corporate contingency and all of the daily tick box exercises and the paperwork that goes with it - or a Group Exec Head Chef at that 'sweet spot' in their career who think their only two options are to either get a move managing a larger team & push for a group role within 6 - 12 months or set up on their own. It's for a Head Chef who knows that there is a lot more to running a restaurant business than just running shifts. It's for Head Chef who wants the term "my guests" to actually mean something. Perhaps most importantly it's for Head Chefs in companies who don't want to lose the fire in their belly simply because their current company has got nothing better to offer them. If this sounds like you - send your CV over & we'll have a look at it for you..
