We are part of the Emirates group. Were now expanding our Trade Partnerships Team and are excited to be recruiting for the newly created role of Head of Wholesale Distribution. This is a field-based role within the UK focussed on identifying and acquiring new business opportunities to develop the growth of Dnata B2B wholesale distribution, including scheduled air & ground sales via Groups, flight API, website & GDS self-booking platforms. Within this role you will work in collaboration with the Trade Partnership Director, Aviation Director, Product & Commercial Director and Tech Product Director to input into the wholesale distribution strategy, ensuring the team is aligned to business goals and achieves/exceeds overall sales targets and KPIs. Job Accountabilities : Supports Trade Partnership Director in the delivery and execution of wholesale distribution across all products, with clear targets Oversee the delivery of the sales distribution strategy to new business partners Clear focus on acquisition of new business for Groups, Air API, website sales and GDS Self-booking for scheduled air & ground Confident in negotiating commercials with new business partners Ensure all sales opportunities are maximised to improve end to end margin Work proactively within all departments to strengthen the internal knowledge of new partners Work closely with the Technical Product team to enhance the wholesale IT capabilities Work proactively with Operations to provide a dedicated support function for Wholesale partners Work proactively with Groups to raise the profile of our partners and improve the performance of Dnata B2B scheduled air & ground Collaborate with the Aviation team to help deliver Air override & GDS targets Work with internal and external partners to understand future wholesale technology developments Represent the company at conferences and events, increasing the profile of Groups, flight API, website & GDS self-booking, building key relationships across the industry and outside of the travel industry for mutual gain Provide feedback on our wholesale offering to enable the wider team to identify areas of improvement and feed market intelligence back into the business To be considered for this role, we need you to have the following skills and experience: Several years operating at a senior level in a sales facing role, with a track record of driving new business opportunities, sourcing new markets and improving profitability of accounts Proven history of sales growth within the Wholesale & Tour Operator sectors Experience of Travel technology platforms, including API, web & GDS platforms Excellent negotiation skills at a senior level Excellent track record of building relationships with key stakeholders Willingness to learn all new technology software and applications Customer relationship skills and understanding of the scheduled tour operator market and competitors Experience in lead generation Broader business acumen with the ability analyse data for commercial decision making Excellent communication both written & verbal with the power to influence people internally and externally at all levels A sound knowledge of the wholesale & tour operating sector and a wide understanding of the competitive landscape, ensuring visibility and understanding of the latest industry trends Creative communicator with the ability to vary style with different audiences Self-motivated and self-disciplined with the ability to work on own initiative Good attention to detail Ability to thrive in pressured or stressful situations Be proactive & positive with tenacity and integrity to drive new opportunities The ability to prioritise and manage several different tasks at once Committed and flexible attitude to the job with the willingness to travel within the UK and overseas as required Ability to work effectively to deadlines with a strong work ethic and a commitment to continuous improvement We have some fantastic benefits, making us a great place to work: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, increasing to 28 days after 5 full years of service Additional annual leave purchase scheme Company pension scheme?
