Job description: Legal Support AssistantJob title: Legal Support AssistantLocation: Farringdon, London EC1Reports to: Legal Support ManagerWHO WE AREWe are a fast-growing, progressive and technologically advanced law firm who regard exceptional technical ability as a given but also understand that this, combined with the personality and creativity of our staff are at the very heart of our successful business.We are recognised market experts in a number of areas of law, including services to the asset-based lending industry, commercial litigation, debt recovery, corporate restructuring and insolvency, specialist director disqualification advice (both pre and post commencement of proceedings) and shareholder disputes.A number of our solicitors previously worked at international / national law firms.ROLE OVERVIEWThis highly regarded and established law firm in London is looking to appoint a Legal Support Assistant to support the firm in all daily legal administrative tasks.SPECIFIC EXPERIENCE:The successful candidate will have minimum 2 years’ experience, be computer literate, confident with a ‘can do ’attitude. They must be happy to get involved to support the teams and pick up any administrative tasks when the need arises.KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:• File Management including setting up new files and ensuring AML checks (using Legl) are completed, closing files, and archiving matters and sending the files to storage • Saving and updating documents to the case management system, Visualfiles• Producing correspondence• Answering the front door on occasions, greeting clients, dealing with couriers etc• Arranging refreshments for meetings and preparing the boardroom• CE-filing documents on the Court system• Photocopying, paginating, scanning and printing• Preparing bundles using Bundledocs as per fee earner instructions• Ordering office supplies when required• Post• Expenses for fee earners• General ad-hoc dutiesPERSON SPECIFICATION • Able to work in a team and as an individual • A spirt of co-operation and a positive, proactive ‘can do’ attitude • Good written and verbal English communication skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels • Professional telephone manner and the ability to take messages efficiently • Excellent organisational skills • Ability to multi-task • Ability to use initiative and priorities work • Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines • Flexibility to work outside normal office hours may be required from time to time Remuneration and BenefitsSalary:   Negotiable Benefits Annual Leave: 25 days paid annual leave per annumLife Assurance: Automatic enrolment in the Firm’s scheme on commencement of employment providing a lump sum of 4 x annual salary in the event of death whilst employed (Max. age 64).Private Health Cover: Entitlement to join the Firm’s scheme after completion of the Probationary Period.
