Senior Regulation Analyst Competitive salary from now 50,664 per annum depending on experience Up to 10% bonus Full time permanent role Located in Leeds, West Yorkshire with hybrid/remote working opportunities We have an amazing opportunity for a Senior Regulation Analyst to join our team based at Thorpe Park, Leeds supporting the Head of Market Services and Regulatory Compliance. You will be focussing on the development of the regulatory regime relating to gas distribution which requires analysis of changes to a wide range of legal and regulatory arrangements. This role will play a key role in delivering critical analysis of these requirements. As a member of the regulation team, you will support NGNs regulatory development by consideration of proposed changes to price control measures, existing industry codes and enabling hydrogen futures projects to meet regulatory requirements. Key accountabilities and responsibilities would include Dealing with a broad range of topics related to energy governance, and energy futures through industry working groups, this role will be responsible for ensuring that regulatory changes are identified and the impacts fully considered for their impacts both on NGN and the wider industry Leading and project managing regulatory led changes by developing and monitoring of the internal plans to deliver future regulatory arrangements in line with Ofgem and government drives to design a future regulatory regime for both price control and energy code reform Working with the existing regulatory regime to ensure that proposals by the energy futures team and regulation team support hydrogen projects requiring regulatory input Positive engagement with internal and external regulatory stakeholders to design, develop and deliver appropriate regulatory changes, and influencing changes to ensure NGN works continues to deliver outputs and compliant procedures in a fast moving change environment Supporting the Head of Market Regulation and Compliance with the NGN Regulatory Compliance process Supporting the development of employee/s within the existing (junior) Regulation Analyst role Working with stakeholders to identify regulatory challenges and possible improvements to define the required changes and requirements to implement them What we are looking for in our Senior Regulation Analyst You will be confident dealing with a broad range of topics related to energy governance, and energy futures through industry working groups, so your role will be responsible for ensuring that regulatory changes are identified and the impacts fully considered for their impacts both on NGN and the wider industry You would represent NGN in matters relating to the development of a new regulatory environment for price control and to deliver hydrogen blending and 100% hydrogen options, providing specialist regulatory support to internal NGN stakeholders You would ensure that industry code (UNC, REC, SEC), Licence and broader regulatory impacts are identified including work to develop a suitable future framework for hydrogen to ensure that settlement, billing and regulatory requirements are kept whole and continue to be appropriate and proportionate Your skills and knowledge would allow you to build key relationships with shippers, suppliers, Ofgem, government departments, Xoserve and other industry parties to ensure that NGN remains a respected participant in regulatory development so a rounded knowledge of the regulatory environment NGN operates within would be beneficial Excellent understanding of the business issues facing NGN, with particular attention on regulatory regimes, compliance and energy code reform You would be expected to effectively influence our senior management team and be confident providing advice and guidance to colleagues and external stakeholders on matters related to regulatory change You will be confident in Regulatory Compliance and have an analytical mindset with the ability to identify and communicate regulatory requirements to ensure compliance What we offer you A competitive salary from 50,664 58,458 per annum depending on experience Up to 10% bonus 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Free onsite parking at all our sites with electric charging points in Leeds 25 days annual leave (plus recognised bank holidays and 2 half days over the Christmas period) SSP for the first 7 calendar days then occupational sick pay A generous stakeholder 5/10 pension scheme We are ...
