Risk Manager (Project Risk) As a member of the risk management team, you will work closely with project delivery teams to ensure effective risk management across various projects. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Developing, planning, and implementing risk management processes that are tailored to client needs and adhere to industry best practices. Leading risk workshops with subject matter experts to identify and analyze potential risks. Creating and maintaining risk registers and other risk documentation. Critically reviewing risk information to improve the accuracy and robustness of risk data. Promoting the implementation of risk mitigation actions throughout projects and programs. Supporting project teams in developing specific, measurable management responses to risks. Performing QSRA/QCRAs to evaluate cost and schedule impacts, helping to understand the remaining risk exposure of projects. Preparing timely and comprehensive risk reports using tools like Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and ideally Power BI. Collaborating with project controls teams to ensure consistency and alignment of project data. Engaging with the supply chain to understand and integrate the risks they present to clients. Skills and Competencies: Strong communication skills, capable of clearly conveying complex risk information to various stakeholders. Ability to adapt risk management strategies and processes in response to changing circumstances. A proactive attitude with excellent problem-solving skills. Strategic thinking and critical analysis skills, with the confidence to evaluate different risk scenarios and their potential impacts. Strong relationship management skills with the ability to effectively engage stakeholders and related functions. Ability to understand client requirements and manage expectations effectively. Awareness of current industry risks, emerging risks, and best practices. A commitment to driving positive change and embracing challenges and opportunities on behalf of clients. Experience and Knowledge: Proven experience in managing risk across multiple projects or programs, or significant experience in a similar risk management role. Familiarity with at least one risk management tool. Understanding of Quantitative Risk Assessment techniques, such as Monte Carlo simulations. Awareness of how other aspects of project controls (e.g., scheduling, cost control, change control) interact with risk management. A professional risk qualification, such as the APM Risk Certificate Level 2 or Management of Risk (MoR), is desirable. Familiarity with NEC contracts is advantageous. Why join our client?
