Youll also be liaising with principal engineers, architects in the domain and other key stakeholders to understand how the platform works and how it supports business objectives.Youll also be:Applying Agile methods to the development of software on the backlogProducing resilient and long-lived software and acting flexibly to cope with future needsDelivering intentional architecture and formulating emergent design through innovative ideas, experimentation and prototypingDesigning and developing software with a focus on the automation of build, test and deployment activities, using executable patternsDefining and developing architecture models and roadmaps of application and software components to meet business and technical requirements, driving common usability across products and domainsDefining, creating and providing oversight and governance of engineering and design solutions with a focus on end-to-end automation, simplification, resilience, security, performance, scalability and reusabilityMonitoring the technical progress against plans while safeguarding functionality, scalability and performance, and providing progress updates to stakeholdersThe skills you'll needWere looking for someone with strong full stack experience in software design and implementation, including being able to exploit programming languages to solve complex problems. Youll also need to be capable of complex requirements analysis capture and validation against and with business and systems requirements. Additionally, you'll need IT experience including experience of leading software development teams, introducing and executing technical strategies using industry recognised frameworks and development toolingAdditionally, youll demonstrate:Experience of leading the implementation of programming best practice, especially around scalability, automation, virtualisation, optimisation, availability and performanceExperience of designing and developing high performance and high availability Payment Data Lake, using proven frameworks and technologies such as J2EE, Mongo, Kafka, Spring and RESTKnowledge of AWS Skillset such as EC2, S3, EKS, Docker and GrafanaStrong payments domain knowledge and experience of building and managing Payment systems such as CHAPS/SEPA/Target Sound collaboration skills with the ability to work with business teams to produce pragmatic solutions that work for the businessExperience of information security policies and practices within the financial sectorStrong stakeholder management skills and communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts in a simple way
