Maintenance Assistant Salary: Starting from 24,044, rising to 25,433 Contract Type: Full-Time, Open Ended Closing date: Wednesday 15th January 2025 Reference: CC12329 The Department of Campus Infrastructure is responsible for the maintenance and development of the University's buildings, and are currently seeking to appoint Maintenance Assistants to support the team. The University has a fantastic reputation for student experience, and the diligence and professionalism of the maintenance staff is a big part of that success! We would like to hear from you if you: - have practical hands-on DIY skills and the necessary vocational training and experience to undertake routine repairs - have experience in some of the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, painting (qualifications are not essential) - are familiar with and happy to work in the built environment, able to identify and remedy a variety of maintenance tasks and keep all affected informed of the situation - have a flexible approach to work and a willingness to undertake training to improve knowledge - are committed to the role and able to work individually and as part of a team - have good problem solving, customer service and communication skills Further information This role is offered on a full-time, permanent basis (36.5 hours per week), Monday-Friday, with the on-campus or City maintenance team.
