We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead all back-of-house catering operations at the legendary Brands Hatch motor racing circuit in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to oversee the food offerings at multiple outlets, including permanent restaurants and a range of suites. These are used for a variety of activities including raceday hospitality, conferences, corporate functions and Christmas parties. The successful candidate will be passionate about food, possess strong leadership and team skills, and have a proven track record of delivering exceptional culinary experiences. With a history spanning close to a century, Brands Hatch is a world-class venue with a reputation for outstanding catering. It's currently home to some of Europe's largest and most prestigious race meetings, including GT World Challenge, British Superbikes, British Touring Cars and EuroNASCAR. One of the busiest sporting venues in the UK, the circuit also hosts a range of midweek activities, including trackdays, race car testing, driving experiences and corporate driving days. Working closely with our Catering Manager, you will ensure that food quality consistently meets the very high standards for which Brands Hatch and MSV's other race circuits are renowned. Responsibilities of the Head Chef: Develop catering and hospitality menus that cater for a wide range of tastes and dietary requirements, working alongside the Catering Manager Oversee the food offerings at all catering outlets Procure high quality food at the best possible value by identifying and using suppliers Plan and execute catering services for a variety of events, including raceday hospitality, corporate functions, and conferences Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and hygiene Train and manage kitchen staff to ensure efficient and seamless operations Create monthly rotas in line with business levels and agreed budgets Oversee stock control and purchasing to minimise waste and maximise efficiency Adhere to all relevant health, safety and food regulations Requirements for the role: Proven experience at Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef level in a high volume, fast-paced environment A passion for delivering high quality food and exceeding expectations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong financial acumen and cost-control abilities Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure Relevant Food, Safety and Hygiene qualifications In return MSV offers: Excellent pay Up to 31 days' holiday (including Bank Holidays) A workplace pension Training opportunities Access to our MSV Hub, giving you access to discounts at hundreds of retailers across the UK Access to 24/7 wellbeing services A staff pass allowing access for yourself and a guest to events at all MSV circuits Discounted food and drink when working on site Free parking The Head Chef position is being offered on a permanent 42.5-hour basis. Additional hours may be necessary to meet the needs of the business, including regular weekend and evening work, particularly during the race event season (March to November).
