The River Group Content Ltd is currently recruiting for an IT support engineer to join their IT department, reporting to the IT Manager and Data Protection Officer (DPO). The ideal candidate will have 12 18 months of experience providing desktop, both Windows and Mac Operating Systems and server support. The role will require the candidate to provide 1st/2nd line support in all areas of IT, as well as some project work. Were looking for someone passionate about IT, who wants to grow their technical knowledge and enjoys being around people & helping them with their IT.Responsibilities - Onboarding process for new starts and Offboarding process for leavers. Working closely with the line manager for day-to-day incidents and tasks. Take ownership of the issues, engage with users to make sure the issues are fixed, and document the break/fixes. Good knowledge of ITSM and Service Management System (SMS) framework. Perform In-Depth ticket analysis, investigation, and resolution and make sure tickets are constantly monitored and updated. Respond to hardware and software service calls and ensure SLA targets are achieved. Perform hardware and software installations as necessary using deployment tools. Deliver projects to set timescales. Adhere to business Security Policies. Keep the Asset management tool up-to-date. Set up meetings such as TV monitors, Presentation slides, and virtual meetings for clients and the senior management team as required. Identify ways to improve processes and service delivery. Create support documents and share knowledge with the team. Good communication and problem-solving skills.Required Skills - A broad technical knowledge of Windows PCs/Apple Mac and peripherals/architecture. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (preferable, not essential). A minimum of 12 18 months experience in 1st/2nd line desktop support. Good working knowledge of current software packages. Liaising with the line manager for software licenses. Good working knowledge of operating systems. Good understanding of IT infrastructure. Proven ability to work on own initiative, address and resolve problems in a pressurised environment. Proven ability to diagnose faults in the hardware/software/operating systems used by the end-users.Preferred Skills - Endpoints and Cloud services: Microsoft Windows (Windows 10, Windows 11). Apple Mac OS, iMac and iPhone. Experience with policy rollout. Office 365 (Office Apps, Skype for Business, OneDrive). Google G-Suite. Adobe Creative Cloud (Acrobat, In-design, Photoshop, Illustrator) (preferable, not essential). Server: Windows 2012/2016. Active Directory (Users and Computers Administration). Office 365 and/or G-Suite Administration. Dropbox experience. Jump Cloud or similar MDM platforms experience. Networking: Basic understanding of networking. Meraki administration. Wi-Fi troubleshooting.
