We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager Leisure Sales to join team at our ultra-luxury Resort, One&Only Mandarina, in Riviera Nayarit, México.About the JobThe Manager Leisure Sales is responsible for proactive and reactive sales efforts business for the One and Only Mandarina, responding to all inquiries within the set time frame all with the intention of confirming profitable wholesale and leisure business and achieving annual transient segment goals. As a Manager Leisure Sales you will develop and maintain relationships with exclusive travel programs, such as American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts, Virtuoso and Signature Travel Network. Achieves or exceeds individual assigned sales and revenue goals Provide property representation and education to key agencies through direct sales calls, customer events and trade shows. To satisfactorily perform routine functions of the Manager of Travel Industry Sales, including organizing and executing FAM trips; conducting site tours; traveling; designing and implementing sales action plans; maintaining business contacts; and ensuring customer satisfaction. To develop and maintain a strong working relationship with representatives of travel agencies in key feeder markets to promote business. To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner. To represent and market One&Only Mandarina in a positive and professional manner and continually promote the Resort internally and externally by building relationships and attending special events both on and off property when requested. To attend all mandatory meetings as directed. To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.This position also supports the sales plan and strategy, client development, managing key relationships, identifying new target markets and sales product with the goal of meeting and exceeding revenue goals. Key Duties and Responsibilities Plan and/or attend and/or participate in meetings with hotel staff and clients, including but not exclusive to: Leisure and Wholesale Sales Meeting, Revenue Meeting, Sales Meeting and Planning Visits (where applicable). Comply with One&Only standards for sales and marketing, while working harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and planning committee. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities Ability to negotiate and work under pressure Solicit and secure new business in assigned market segments to drive transient revenue to the hotel. Develop the existing customer base (reactive) as well as acquire new business accounts (proactive) to expand our account base against weekly goals. Assists with the development, implementation, and management of leisure promotions in conjunction with overall sales and marketing plan. Develop expertise in assigned markets. (i.e. expertise in the transient/leisure segment and establish as a leader for Mandarina as well as the community for your designated territory) Work with Regional Sales Team to develop and maintain knowledge of market trends, competition, and customers. Participate in sales presentations, property tours, customer meetings, and business review meetings with team. Participate in trade shows, conventions, and promotional events within the area hotels, the industry and customer organizations. Understand the competitive landscape and how to maintain leadership position given market and economic changes. Adjust sales plan and strategies accordingly whilst notifying updated in the weekly report. Develop and maintain best practices, policies, and service initiatives to achieve optimal sales service and client retention. To satisfactorily perform routine functions of the Manager Leisure Sales, including organizing and executing FAM trips; conducting site tours; traveling; designing and implementing sales action plans; maintaining business contacts; and ensuring customer satisfaction. The ability to assist in the annual operating plan to assist, as directed, to implement and upgrade sales computer programs. To participate in manager focus groups, hotel industry associations and to attend hotel functions, as directed. To develop and maintain a strong working relationship with representatives of travel agencies in key feeder markets to promote business. To understand and respond to all guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner. To maintain the cleanliness and safety of work areas and equipment at all times. To attend all mandatory meetings as directed. To perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.Develops relationships within industry to strengthen and expand customer base for whole sale/Leisure sales opportunities. Executes exemplary customer service to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty by assisting the customer and ensuring their satisfaction before and during their program/event. Including a seamless handover to the conventions team at resort. Gains understanding of the property’s primary target customer and service expectations; serves the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solution both prior to, and during the program/event. Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels (e.g., Travel Agents/Whole Salers) to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative. Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Uses sales resources and administrative/support staff. Executes and supports the operational aspects of business consumed (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence and follow up). About youBachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or Hotel Management, or equivalent experience required. English fluency required. Must have minimum five years’ experience in a Leisure Sales role with a proven track record of success in the luxury market.Strong selling and interpersonal skillsAdapt in Leisure and Wholesale systems, management tools. The ability to achieve yearly personal sales booking goals. Requires a basic understanding of the operations of all departments in the resort.
