Plan A Technologies is looking for an experienced Product Owner . This individual engages with clients to implement technology solutions to drive customer value by determining the requirements of a product/technology, or program, and communicating them clearly to the delivery team and stakeholders. In addition to supporting the Product Management Team in eliciting and clarifying requirements, you will work alongside Architects and the Development Team to ensure requirements are clearly understood and feasible. The ideal candidate can break through complexity and ambiguity while creating a shared understanding. The Product Owner will actively engage with clients and internal teams to facilitate discovery sessions to distill key needs and collaborate with strategy, design, engineering, and technology teams to translate those needs into project requirements. The Product Owner will have experience engaging with clients in requirements discovery, definition, and management. This is a fast-paced job with room for significant career growth. Please note: you must have at least 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner to be considered for this role. Experience with payments and or mobile experience will be a plus. JOB RESPONSIBILITY Elicit and organize requirements into a workable backlog. Translate, simplify, and manage business requirements with client/product owner and write independent user stories leveraging agile frameworks. Facilitate estimation of user stories along with delivery team. Facilitate Scrum events while inspiring efficient teamwork and effective decision-making. Strong in communication with the ability to ensure the backlog is clearly understood by the delivery/scrum team. Extensive experience handling requirement changes and negotiating prioritization amongst respective stakeholder(s). Partner with delivery team to translate user story and product requirements into QA testing framework. Collaborate with product team to facilitate product vision definition sessions to determine stakeholder needs. Assist with developing roadmaps and business case documentation with teammates and partners. Excellent Agile framework knowledge, able to work with product manager as his/her proxy. Work with the other disciplines across the organization to plan and track effective delivery. Collaborate with multiple business units on requirements and dependencies across all products. Partner with the Program Manager to ensure that key milestones are hit to drive on-time product delivery. EXPERIENCE Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree is preferred. 8+ years of experience as Product Owner. Expertise with requirements, estimations, roadmaps, and documentation. Solid understanding of the Scrum Framework and principles of Agility. Deep understanding of software lifecycle development disciplines - Project Management, Requirements Management, Analysis & Design, Quality Assurance & Testing, Implementation, Deployment, Configuration & Change Management. Experience with a variety of facilitation techniques. Understanding of technical practices associated with Software Development (DevOps, CI/CD, test automation). Knows the basics of product management/product thinking. Experience with payments and or mobile experience will be a plus. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. Initiative and drive to do great things.
