Role: Sales Development Representative (SDR)Industry: SaaS (Software as a Service)Location: Mumbai, IndiaExperience: 3-7 yearsKey Responsibilities:Cold Calling & Outreach:Actively prospect and generate leads through cold calling, emails, and other outreach methods.Qualify leads by understanding their needs and pain points.Introduce the company’s SaaS products, benefits, and services to potential clients.Lead Generation:Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified leads.Use various tools (CRM, email marketing tools, LinkedIn, etc.) to research and reach out to prospects.Work closely with the marketing team to ensure alignment in lead generation strategies.Qualifying Prospects:Understand the client’s business model and needs to assess whether the solution is a good fit.Manage initial meetings, demos, and discussions to qualify prospects before passing them on to the sales team.Follow-ups & Nurturing:Continuously follow up with prospects through calls and emails.Nurture relationships until they’re ready to engage further with the sales team.Collaboration:Work closely with Account Executives (AEs) and the sales team to ensure smooth handoffs.Provide feedback to the marketing team to refine and improve outreach strategies.Desired Skills:Sales Skills: Strong cold calling skills, ability to overcome objections, and ability to close initial stages of the sales cycle.SaaS Knowledge: Familiarity with the SaaS sales cycle, subscription models, and technical understanding of software products.Lead Generation Expertise: Proven track record in generating quality leads through multiple channels.CRM Tools: Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to track leads and progress.Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially for phone calls and email outreach.Persistence & Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and continue pursuing opportunities.Qualifications:Experience: 3-7 years of experience in a sales development or lead generation role, especially in SaaS or technology sales.Education: A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).
