Ltd., a leading supplier of fresh and IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) frozen vegetables, is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to drive sales of our fresh and frozen vegetable product lines to the organized sector. Based in Sikandrabad, Uttar Pradesh, with a production capacity of 3,000 kg/hr for IQF green peas alongside fresh vegetable offerings, we aim to strengthen our presence in retail chains, HORECA (hotels, restaurants, catering), and food service industries across India. The ideal candidate will bring over 10 years of food industry experience, including at least 5 years in frozen vegetable sales, to lead our sales efforts, build strategic partnerships, and deliver measurable growth.Role and ResponsibilitiesInspired by the scope and expertise of sales managers at leading frozen food companies, your key responsibilities will include:Sales Leadership:Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to grow revenue from fresh vegetables and IQF frozen vegetables within the organized sector, including retail chains, HORECA, and institutional buyers.Achieve annual sales targets by driving volume sales of both fresh and frozen products.Market Penetration:Identify and onboard new clients in the organized sector, such as supermarkets, quick-service restaurants, and catering firms, leveraging an innovative product range of fresh and frozen vegetables.Expand market share by introducing value-added offerings tailored to food service and retail needs.Client Relationship Management:Build and nurture long-term relationships with key accounts, negotiating contracts, pricing, and supply terms to meet the distinct demands of fresh (short shelf-life, 0-2 °C storage) and frozen (cold chain, -18 °C) supply chains.Conduct regular client visits and product demonstrations to showcase quality, nutritional value, and convenience Business Development:Secure bulk orders and strategic partnerships with organized sector buyers, ensuring consistent supply to meet their operational schedules.Collaborate with procurement and production teams to align supply with demand forecasts, balancing seasonal fresh produce and stable frozen inventory.Team Management:Lead and mentor a sales team, setting individual KPIs for fresh and frozen vegetable sales, and providing training on product knowledge, market trends, and client engagement.Foster a results-driven culture, drawing on your leadership experience to motivate the team toward exceeding targets.Market Insights & Innovation:Monitor competitor activities, industry trends, and customer preferences to refine sales tactics and propose new product ideas.Represent Sunshine Vegetables at trade shows, food expos, and B2B events to promote our dual-category portfolio and network with industry leaders.Logistics & Quality Assurance:Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery—ambient for fresh, cold chain for frozen—maintaining product quality and compliance with FSSAI standards.Address client feedback on product freshness, packaging, or delivery timelines, ensuring high satisfaction levels.Skills RequiredSales Acumen: Proven success in B2B sales to organized sectors, with expertise in closing deals for fresh and frozen vegetables.Negotiation: Ability to secure favorable terms for both high-turnover fresh produce and long-term frozen contracts.Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of organized sector dynamics (retail, HORECA), fresh vegetable supply chains (mandis, cold storage), and frozen vegetable markets (IQF, export-grade).Leadership: Experience managing sales teams, driving performance, and building client-centric strategies.Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for pitches, negotiations, and team coordination.Analytical Skills: Proficiency in analyzing sales data, forecasting demand, and identifying growth opportunities.Adaptability: Flexibility to manage seasonal fresh sales cycles and stable frozen demand, with 30-50% travel readiness.Technical Awareness: Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, FSSAI) and cold chain logistics.Qualifications RequiredExperience:Minimum 10 years in the food industry, with a focus on sales or business development.Minimum 5 years in frozen vegetable sales (e.g., IQF peas, mixed vegetables), ideally with exposure to the organized sector.Education:Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Food Technology, Agriculture, or related field.MBA or Postgraduate Diploma in Sales/Marketing preferred.Industry Exposure:Track record selling to retail chains, HORECA, or food service companies in India.Experience with fresh produce sales (e.g., mandis, regional distributors) is a plus.Certifications (Preferred):Certificate in Sales Management (e.g., IIMs, NIAM).Food Safety Certification (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000).Language: Fluency in English and Hindi; regional languages (e.g., Bengali, Punjabi, Marathi, Telgu, Tamil, Kannada, etc) are advantageous.Compensation & BenefitsSalary: ₹5,00,000 - ₹6,00,000 per annum (based on experience) + performance-based incentives.Benefits: Provident Fund, health insurance, travel allowance, and annual bonus.Growth: Opportunity to shape sales strategy and lead regional expansion.How to ApplySubmit your resume and a cover letter detailing your experience in fresh and frozen vegetable sales to the organized sector to sagardeswal@ by April 20, 2025.
