Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India (Remote option available for exceptional candidates)Employment Type: Contractual | Full-timeJob SummaryDataprudence is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Post-Doctorate Research Scholar or PhD holder in Microbiology, Bioinformatics, or allied fields to join our team as a Principal Solution Specialist. This role is pivotal in bridging cutting-edge scientific expertise with client needs, delivering innovative solutions in data analytics, bioinformatics, and microbial research applications. Based in Bengaluru (with remote flexibility for exceptional candidates), you will serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for clients, gather requirements, and lead cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of projects.Key ResponsibilitiesClient Engagement & Requirements Gathering: Act as the primary liaison between Dataprudence and clients, understanding their scientific and technical needs in microbiology, bioinformatics, or related domains.Conduct detailed requirement-gathering sessions to translate client objectives into actionable project plans.Program Management: Collaborate with post-doctorate research scientists, developers, testers, UI/UX designers, and cloud architects to design, develop, and deliver tailored solutions.Oversee end-to-end project execution, ensuring milestones are met and deliverables align with client expectations.Solution Design & Delivery: Leverage expertise in microbiology and bioinformatics to architect data-driven solutions, including microbial genomics, sequence analysis, or predictive modeling.Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and utilize modern cloud-based technologies where applicable.Team Coordination: Facilitate seamless communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams to drive project success.Provide technical guidance to team members, drawing on your research background to address complex challenges.Client SPOC: Serve as the go-to person for client updates, feedback, and escalations, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and trust.Present project outcomes, insights, and recommendations to clients in a clear and impactful manner.Innovation & Research: Stay abreast of advancements in microbiology, bioinformatics, and allied fields to propose innovative solutions that enhance Dataprudence’s offerings.Contribute to internal knowledge-sharing initiatives to elevate team capabilities.Working Hours & FlexibilityThis role requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate collaboration with clients based in the U.S. and Europe.Candidates should be prepared for client calls and meetings scheduled during evening hours IST (typically between 6:00 PM and 11:00 PM IST) to align with U.S. and European time zones.A proactive approach to managing time and availability will be essential to balance project deadlines and client engagements effectively.QualificationsEducational Background: PhD or Post-Doctorate in Microbiology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biotechnology, or a closely related field.Experience: Proven research experience in microbiology and/or bioinformatics (e.g., microbial genomics, metagenomics, sequence analysis, or systems biology).Prior experience in client-facing roles, project management, or solution delivery is a plus.Technical Skills: Proficiency in bioinformatics tools (e.g., BLAST, QIIME, R, Python, or similar).Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data analytics frameworks is highly desirable.Experience with programming, data visualization, or UI/UX principles is an advantage.Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and lead diverse teams.Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to managing complex projects.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Location Flexibility: Willingness to work from Bengaluru; remote work considered for candidates with outstanding qualifications and self-discipline.Preferred QualificationsExperience in program management or leading cross-functional teams in a tech or research setting.Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.Background in delivering solutions for healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or biotech industries.Why Join Dataprudence?At Dataprudence, you’ll work at the intersection of science and technology, driving impactful solutions for global clients.
