The candidate will assist the lead engineer in project objective to complete the transition. Working closely with security and application teams, the individual will engineer the move, create the necessary supporting documentation/runbooks. Migration knowledge from Citrix VDI/VMware Horizon to Azure VDIResponsibilitiesMinimum of 7-10 years hands on experience working with Azure Virtual DesktopsAzure management Group, Subscription, Resource Group, Tenant. Azure Virtual Desktop LicensingDesign consideration of Azure Virtual Desktop, Planning and Prerequisites, Cost estimation of AVD.Azure Virtual Desktop architect (create large scale env) and maintenance (troubleshooting) experience.Installing and configuring Microsoft AVD technologies including host pools AVD images and scaling.Must know the types of Virtual Desktop and configuration.Manage Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environment including Creating Images, deploy VMs, monitor VM performance.Engineer and support multiple Windows desktop images. Azure Compute Gallery/Shared Image Gallery.Watermarking in AVD, AVD custom image templates. HashiCorp packer for imaging.Must know Azure Host Pool and Load Balancing methods, assign users host pool.Scaling or add session host to existing host pool, RD web client. RDP Shortpath for AVD, Resizing session host.Installing FSLogic, FSLogic Cloud Cache, Storage Account configuration for FSLogic, Application Masking.Configuring Azure NetApp for FSLogic, FSLogic Profile shared,Installing and optimizing MS Teams, MS Outlook and One drive, other third-party application in AVD.AVD Patching and Application life cycle management.Designing migration from Citrix VDI/VMware Horizon to Azure VDI.Configuration AVD SSO with ADFS, RBAC for AVD,Azure Active Directory, OAuth, OpenID Connect (OIDC), SAML, Header-based authentication, LDAP, SCIM, or other relevant technologies.Azure AD Users, Groups, Custom Roles, MFA, Conditional Access Policy, AD Identity Protection, Access Reviews, PIM.Designing Azure Intune, Deploying Azure O365 Apps using Intune, Dynamic Device Group, compliance policy in Intune.Azure AD Password less sign-in configuration, SSO and FIDO password less authentication.Azure Conditional Access Policies, Azure Hybrid Join for AVD Session Host,Implementation of Azure Governance/policies. Implementation of screen capture block for AVD.Designing and managing Azure Storage Account, Private Endpoint.Designing and managing Azure Virtual Network, Subnet, NSG, ASG, Network consideration Latency and RTTDesigning Azure Firewall, Firewall rules, ports, TCP/IP.Monitoring and configuring Azure Virtual Desktop alerts.Designing and implementing Azure Log Analytics Workspace.Maintain and expand existing Knowledge BaseDevelop automated solutions for deploying software packages, application patches/updates and workstation images.Running virtual machines on Azure cloudCreating and managing data backups, Azure Site RecoveryEnsuring compliances. Experience in Power Shell Scripting, Terraform.Maintaining and implementing storage solutions, Blob, Files.Designing and implementing Azure Load Balancer, Application Gateway, VMSSQualificationsMust Have – AZ-104, AZ-140 CertificationAdded Advantage – AZ-500, AZ-305,5 years’ Experience in Azure Environment and Azure Virtual DesktopExcellent communication and collaboration abilitiesBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
