Role Summary: Reporting Analyst is responsible for developing analytics solutions and enabling faster and better decision making for Sun Life Our growing mandate to deliver Data Analytics, requires an experienced analyzing data from numerous systems to create reporting tailored for the business and responsible for creating, maintaining, and improving reports to provide actionable insights. This role involves analyzing data, developing dashboards, and automating processes using Excel and other reporting tools. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, proficiency in Excel and related tools, and the ability to communicate insights effectively to business stakeholders.Main Accountabilities: Responsible for analyzing data from numerous systems to create reporting tailored for the business. Produce daily/weekly/monthly reports, analyzing and reporting on ad-hoc requests, whilst creating and maintaining operational dashboards within agreed timelines Collecting and interpreting data, developing and maintaining databases, filtering data, correcting code issues, preparing business reports Understand business requirements and translate into reporting requirements Develop operational performance reports and dashboards to give an operational overview - reporting on SLAs, KPIs, CIs, Savings and other functional metrics Develop and maintain MIS applications developed in MS Excel/ MS Access Team up with Tableau developers to fetch/provide required data inputs Identify process improvement areas and develop the solutions Work as a data custodian & SME for operational reporting Manage stakeholders and fulfill their expectationsEducation and Experience Minimum graduate degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent Expertise in visual analytics and design principles 4+ years of experience in: MS Excel including Lookups, Pivot tables, Power Query/Power Pivot and macro coding MS Access MS Power Point /MS Excel Reporting Proven experience in automating reporting processes Working in an agile development environment including rapid prototyping during sprints.Competencies: Advanced excel experience including V Lookups, Pivot tables, Charts, Conditional Formatting, Power Query and Macro/VBA Strong hands-on experience in developing applications using Excel macros and MS Access Strong data presentation skills High level of attention to detail and accuracy Proven experience in developing dashboards, trend analysis, data interrogation and reporting Ability to work independently, manage engagements or parts of large engagements directly with business partners. Solid understanding of how to consolidate and transform data to meaningful and actionable information Ability to draw out meaningful business insights by synthesizing information from multiple sources Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation and storytelling with data Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment. A willingness to listen, challenge, communicate, and respect team member's ideas and opinions openly.
