Job Title: Chinese Language Interpreter Location: Bangalore, India Terms: Contract-based Job Summary: We seek a skilled and professional Chinese Interpreter to facilitate communication among our suppliers. The ideal candidate should possess proficiency in both Chinese (Mandarin) and English, excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages, and a deep understanding of linguistic and cultural nuances. The interpreter will primarily work in settings such as meetings, conferences, document translations, and other scenarios requiring real-time interpretation. Responsibilities: Translate meetings, conference communications and written documents from Chinese to English and vice versa. Ensure accurate interpretation of spoken conversations during meetings, conferences, or other events as required. Maintain consistency in translations, considering technical and cultural differences. Research and comprehend technical, legal, scientific, or specialized terminology for precise translation. Collaborate with teams to clarify context, terminologies, and meanings to enhance accurate translations. Remain impartial and neutral, especially in sensitive or confidential situations. Prepare and study relevant materials to be familiar with technical or specialized terminology used in the field of interpretation.Always maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Requirements: Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin) and proficiency in English. Proven experience as an interpreter or translator, preferably in diverse settings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of cultural differences and the ability to navigate them effectively. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising translation quality.Strong listening and concentration skills. Candidates with an Engineering background are given priority.
