The ideal candidate will combine academic expertise with practical experience to shape our product development, ensuring the effective integration of cognitive science principles to enhance student learning outcomes.Key Responsibilities:Identify, document, and apply cognitive science principles relevant to K-12 learning strategies and educational outcomes.Collaborate with product designers, technology teams, and educators to align cognitive models and interventions with student needs.Validate and refine core cognitive science principles applied in the product, ensuring their effectiveness and recommending improvements based on research and real-world application.Develop and recommend evidence-based learning strategies to support diverse student needs.Provide insights on cognitive learning approaches, learning retention, and engagement techniques.Communicate findings effectively with internal teams, educators, and stakeholders to align cognitive learning methodologies with product development.Skills and Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cognitive Science, Educational Psychology, Neuroscience, or a related field.2-5 years of experience in applying cognitive science to K-12 education.Strong understanding of cognitive learning principles, memory retention, attention, and problem-solving strategies in students.Experience in researching, designing, or validating learning interventions, assessments, or cognitive models.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to translate research into actionable insights for product and education teams.Preferred experience: Working with teachers, schools, or education policymakers to implement cognitive-based strategies.
