Provisional and Original Degree)Candidates to carry mobile charger and ear/headphones to the hiring venue for in-person assessments and evaluationsJob Description:Job description for Consumer Non Real Estate UnderwritingKey AccountabilitiesReview and decision credit applications:Reviews credit applications through the Branch Banking, and Online Portal origination sources and supplies a response in a timely manner. Responds directly to questions pertaining to loan requests and works through the origination sources to give quality and well documented replies.Formulates consistent and accurate decisions, adhering to Bank, Fair Lending, ECOA and OCC guidelines.Ability to engage lenders to advise on loan decisions. Re-evaluation of loan structure with second reviews, obtaining additional information and re-working of application is necessary to accommodate clients needs and develop strong working relationships.Corrects erroneous contracts and ensures decisions are within guideline limitations.Actively participates in weekly meetings, addressing items and areas of concern and developing an action plan to address and remedy any issues. Maintains a strong knowledge of lending guidelines.Credit Quality Targets and Exceptions:Aligns individual purchase policy with Bank initiated targets, in both credit quality and exceptions, to maximize market share and improve on Portfolio profitability.Monitors monthly and annual credit losses, identify negative trends, and incorporate guidelines to minimize losses on individual and segment portfolios.Key CompetenciesCommunicationAbility to clearly communicate (via written or verbal) loan decision to Lender. Offer alternative deal structure within ONB procedural guidelines when applicable.Directly inform managers of any issues that may arise and file PSAR if necessary.Manage accounts until liquidated, assist loan support, and remedy any customer questions in reference to the account.Actively participate in weekly meetings.Accountability and Attention to detailEvery decision on a loan (approvals, denials, counters) require specific regulatory items that need to be followed. With these loans, proper documentation, write ups and communications are required for each individual application.All decisioned loans are maintained in the individual portfolio and monitored monthly. Underwriters are responsible for the loans until paid in full.
