Hello all linux geeks, Nakshatra systems is back.Looking forward to hire a Linux Software Repository maintainer.Job is Work from home and contract based.Short listed candidates will be contacted via phone for a technical telephonic interview.This not a sysadmin profile job, devops can apply though.Contract job of 1 year. Candidate will have to sign a legal agreement that will possibly include NDA and NCA.Vacancies : 2Minimum experience needed : 1 - 2 yearsTechnical skills candidate should we be well versed in :==============================================Well versed in Linux.Creating packages using distro's packaging tools.Updating packages.Keep track of software dependencies.Creating / providing / managing software patchesMonitoring and staying current with CVE'sMaintaining Changelogs and other documentation.Providing bug fixes.Reviewing changes.Proficiency in linux commands, filters, bash scripting , C, python, rust etc.Knowledge of patch command and other similar software management tools.Connect with upstream developer for solutions if needed to get issues resolved.Good troubleshooting skills.Knowledge of Slackware Linux a HUGE plus.Candidates with knowledge of slackware will be prioritized to those with knowledge of redhat/debian.Since nature is work from home , webcam is needed.Non-technical pre-requisites :===========================A good internet connection with IPv6 facility mandatory.Should be fluent in english with good verbal and written skillsAbility to work in team as well as independently.Should be able to resolve assigned tasks in the specified time frame /deadline.For further queries / questions you can mail to support@
