JOB SUMMARY: This role is responsible for overseeing the company’s Financial Accounting and Reporting domain, ensuring adherence to both Group Accounting Standards (IFRS) and Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS). This role involves end-to-end ownership of Compliance, Audit and Risk management frameworks, internal controls, and financial governance. This role is also responsible for implementation of robust Delegation of Authority of the company and spreading its awareness across the organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Accounting & Financial ReportingEnsure monthly, quarterly, and annual closure of books of accounts on a timely basis.Ensure reporting in Polaris is done in accordance with Group timelines.Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting under both IFRS and Ind AS.Ensure adherence to all statutory compliances with financial reporting requirements.2. Audit & Risk ManagementManage end to end statutory audits and ensure its completion within the agreed timelines.Manage Group Audits and ensure its completion as per the Group Calendar.Manage internal audits done locally as well as by HQ and ensure timely completion.Proactively address audit observations and ensure timely closure of open points.3. Compliance ManagementEnsure adherence to the Companies Act and other relevant legal and regulatory requirements.Develop and implement the company's Delegation of Authority (DOA).Regularly update the DOA to align with evolving business practices.Conduct training sessions and awareness programs to ensure organization-wide compliance with the DOA.Provide clarifications on DOA-related queries from business teams as needed.4. Internal Controls, SOPs & Policy FrameworkDevelop and standardize finance-related policies, processes, and SOPsEnsure adherence to internal controls and drive continuous improvement initiatives.Ensure Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICOFR) testing is done across the organization and results are shared with the statutory auditors on a timely basis.5. People ManagementSetting individual objectives, managing performance, developing and growing team Conduct skill development programs, periodic reviews, formal and informal feedback and appraisals to engage and motivate team members.PROFILE DETAILS:QUALIFICATION: Essential/Must-have: Chartered accountantEXPERIENCE: Consumer Durable, FMCG, AlcobevEssential/Must-have: 8-10 years of post-qualification work experience, ideally including experience in a Big 4/ multinational FMCG company at least 4-5 years of experience in corporate finance or accounting.Technical Skills: In depth knowledge of Indian GAAP, Ind AS, IFRS and ERP systems.Analytical Abilities: Strong financial and data analytical skills Soft Skills: Clear Communication, Teamwork, Adaptability, Stakeholder management, Problem-solving
