Role Title - Deputy Manager / Manager - Supply Chain Management (Sub-Station Procurement) Job Location - Noida Role Summary - Role holder will anchor the strategic & operational sourcing for Substations (765 KV / 400 KV, 400 KV/220 KV/132 KV), Bid Support, contract management and supplier management.Working with (supplement with org structure) Deputy General Manager - Supply Chain Management Asset Management team, vendors / partnersWhat the role entails • Substation Equipment Sourcing:• Identify suitable vendors and procure substation-specific equipment / spares and consumables essential for substation functionality (e.g., transformers, reactors, circuit breakers, isolators, CVT, CT, control and relay panels, switchgear, cables, auxiliary power systems, earthing systems, lightning arresters, busbars, battery chargers, substation automation systems, and cooling/ventilation systems, illumination system, structural and civil Works etc)• Service Provider Identification and Management:• Identify and manage service providers specialized in substation O&M, including the appointment of vendors for tasks such as maintenance, inspection, repair, overhauling, and technical support• Managing PR-PO Processes and approvals:• Oversee the PR to PO process, including eNFA approvals; ensure strict adherence to the organizational P2P policy and maintain optimal TAT for PR-PO transactions related to substation projects. • Vendor Relationship Building:• Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers, ensuring reliable procurement channels and consistent quality• Cost Optimization & securing favourable terms:• Develop cost-effective procurement strategies, conducting internal costing assessment, negotiating competitive prices, exploring alternate suppliers, and ensuring optimal terms and conditions in favour of the company• Collaboration and Communication:• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, effectively communicating with Asset Management and site teams to align procurement strategies with project objectives • Preparation of MIS • Develop and maintain detailed MIS reports for Substation function to effectively track procurement status, encompassing budget versus actual expenditure analysis, offers status, and procurement progress updatesRole Demands (travel) OccasionalExperience Essential Desirable• B. Tech / BE - Electrical with about 7-9 years of experience• Strategic sourcing of supply and services (Substation & Transmission Line) • Negotiations, end to end procurement process• Working knowledge of SAP & Maximo Familiarity with Solar Plants (PV & CSP) Functional SkillsStrategic (20%) • Category Management in order to meet the internal customer & strategic tie up with a partner.
