Job Summary:The Assistant Director of the Centre for Creative Productions at School of Films, Media and Creative Arts, RV University will play a crucial role in producing, curating and marketing creative projects (Films, Advertisements, Showreels) and live events (Film festivals, Outreach & Road shows) The role requires a strategic thinker with strong production management skills, industry experience and event organisation in entertainment media, and a passion for fostering creativity in students and faculty. The Assistant Director will collaborate with academic departments, industry partners, and external clients to enhance the School’s creative output and industry engagement.Key Responsibilities:Creative Production & ManagementOversee and coordinate the production of films, animations, documentaries, advertisements, and other multimedia projects.Drive the Centre for Creative productions as a Profit centre.Supervise successful execution of School & Public events.Ensure adherence to production timelines, budgets, and quality standards.Manage the use of production studios, editing suites, and other creative infrastructure.Academic & Student EngagementSupport faculty and students in executing high-quality creative projects.Organize workshops, masterclasses, and training sessions with industry professionals.Facilitate student involvement in real-world creative projects and internships.Guide students in developing their portfolios and showcasing their work.Industry Collaboration & PartnershipsDevelop partnerships with film production houses, advertising agencies, gaming studios, and media organizations.Secure sponsorships and external funding for creative initiatives.Coordinate university participation in film festivals, animation expos, and media events.Work with corporate and government organizations for commissioned projects.Marketing & OutreachPromote the Centre’s productions through social media, university platforms, and external media channels.Develop marketing materials and strategies to enhance visibility.Organize film screenings, exhibitions, and promotional events.Operational & Administrative SupportAssist in budget planning and resource allocation for productions.Maintain records of projects, collaborations, and student achievements.Ensure compliance with copyright laws, licensing agreements, and university policies.Support in the hiring and management of technical and production staff.Qualifications & Experience:Master's Degree (preference will be given to MBA) in Film Production, Animation, Media Studies, Visual Arts, Event management or related fields.5+ years of experience in film production, media, animation, event management or a related industry.Strong understanding of production workflows, technical requirements, and industry trends.Experience in managing teams, coordinating projects, and working with industry professionals.Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of production and post-production software (Adobe Creative Suite, DaVinci Resolve, etc.).Experience in fundraising, sponsorships, and industry partnerships.Understanding of academic and creative intersections in a university environment.Application Process:Interested candidates should submit their resume, portfolio of work, and a cover letter detailing their experience and vision for the role at recruitments@
