We create innovative and sustainable solutions for our customers to answer society’s needs – today and in the future.Purpose of the JobSupport the Controller to perform controlling, month-end closing, and reporting activities.Responsible for the cost centers structure in the functions.Support the functional teams on day-to-day finance questions.About the job (Job Responsibilities)Support the Controller to perform controlling, month-end closing, and reporting activities.Perform actuals vs budget vs prior year analysis at cost center/department level.Discuss variations with Controller and follow up on corrective actions.Automate/create monthly financial reporting for the budget owners and monthly/quarterly financial decks for the functional heads.Keep an overview of one-offs and respective approvals.Create/Automate Actual vs Budget reports for the transformation initiatives and M&A projects.Work closely with the Analytics team to create dashboards and reports for the ad hoc functional analysis (headcount, contracts).During the month end closing: prepare and upload journal entries to SAP, create intercompany invoices, manual invoices, accruals, provisions, prepare SOX documentation and reporting.During the budget cycle: Upload the budget to SAP at cost center level, assist on the preparation of the budget deck, uploads corporate allocations cycle.Prepare accounting documentation to support the cost sharing agreement analysis.Other ad hoc activities to support the Controller.Responsible to manage financially Projects (CAPEX-OPEX) across the different functions (Production, Facilities, IM, etc.). From project creation to asset activation in SAP, including reporting and forecasting.In close cooperation with the Controller, helps to develop project business cases / investment requests and track the financial performance.Implement a standard way of working for Projects, find synergies and improvements across the functions.Develop reports to create project spend insights to support the planning and control process, including CAPEX and Time Writing, by project and at Department level.Reports project actuals vs budget to Project Managers, take corrective actions when necessaryUpdates the CAPEX forecast in SAP and can explain actuals vs forecast deviations.Create and maintain the project structure and time writing in SAP PS (WBS elements) in line with the corporate guideline.Responsible for the project financial closing, asset activation, documentation, and proper accounting classification (CAPEX-OPEX-One off), including proper closing in SAP.During the month end closing settles the WBS elements and book cost/CAPEX accruals as needed.On an annual basis, gives input to the Functional Controller to determine the Projects Budget.Interact with tax team on fiscal matters related to projects and charge out to the respective Businesses or Functions.Responsible for the cost centers structure in the functions.Maintain an updated and harmonized cost center structure.Create MDM requests for cost center creation, changes, budget owners, etc.Simplify the cost center structure.Support the functional teams on day-to-day finance requirements.Provide guidance to the functional teams when they have questions about company processes such as payments, POs, invoices, credit notes, service entries, etc.We believe you bring (Education & Experience)Cost & Management Accountant/MBA (Finance) from a B-School with relevant experience.3 years’ experience in financial analysis/project controlling functions.Worked in the chemical manufacturing industry with a global multi-national organization is preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 applications including MS Excel, MS PowerPoint.Knowledge of ERP system (SAP, Business Warehouse, PowerBi, SAP Analytical Cloud).Fluent in English both verbally and in writing.Flexible, Feels comfortable in a demanding environment within an international context.Have strong interpersonal skills, creates enthusiasm, be a driver of change, analytical and fact-based.Able to work independently, analytic, and fact-based.Please apply via our online recruitment system.
