This role requires hands-on management of networking, security, and system operations while supporting senior engineers in maintaining a high-availability environment. You will work both in-office and at the Data Centre as needed.Experience Required: 3-10 yearsKey ResponsibilitiesNetwork & Security AdministrationInstall, configure, and maintain network switches and firewalls in a hybrid data centre and office environment.Implement and optimize network infrastructures, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.Troubleshoot and resolve complex network-related issues.Respond to security incidents, providing remediation and reporting.Maintain and monitor firewall systems and intrusion detection/prevention (IDS/IPS).Security ManagementImplement security best practices, including firewall configurations, intrusion detection/prevention, and access controls.Monitoring & TroubleshootingPerform real-time network and system monitoring, diagnose issues, and resolve incidents effectively.User & Access ManagementManage authentication, permissions, and security policies for Linux-based infrastructure.Incident ResponseAct as the first line of defense for security incidents and escalate issues to senior engineers as needed.DocumentationMaintain up-to-date system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures.Develop and maintain network and security documentation (network diagrams, security policies, etc.).Prepare and deliver regular security reports.Maintain detailed records of security breaches and incidents, including remediation actions taken.CollaborationWork closely with L3 engineers and cross-functional teams to improve overall network performance and security.Must-Have SkillsOn Day One, we expect you to have: ✅ Strong experience with Linux system administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL). ✅ Hands-on knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and firewall policies. ✅ Advanced knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.), routing, switching, and VPN technologies. ✅ Expertise in configuring and managing firewalls and other security appliances. ✅ Familiarity with cloud networking and security best practices. ✅ Experience handling security incidents and forensic investigations. ✅ Proficiency in monitoring and logging tools like Nagios, Zabbix, or Prometheus. ✅ Basic scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Ansible for automation. ✅ Understanding of firewall configuration, IDS/IPS systems, and network security principles. ✅ Familiarity with Data Centre operations (racking, stacking, cabling, physical server maintenance). ✅ Ability to handle incident management and troubleshooting under pressure.Nice-to-Have SkillsIt’s great if you also have: ➕ Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP). ➕ Experience with Kubernetes and container networking. ➕ Familiarity with SIEM tools for security monitoring. ➕ Knowledge of VPN configurations and secure remote access protocols. ➕ Certifications such as RHCSA, CCNA, or equivalent.What You’ll Get✨ Hands-on experience managing critical Linux-based network infrastructure. ✨ A collaborative team that values technical excellence and continuous learning. ✨ Growth opportunities in an AI-driven, innovative tech company.Join us at Neysa and be part of a team that powers a secure and high-performance network infrastructure!
