Job Description: Food & Beverage Manager – 5-Star Luxury Resort (Guwahati, India)MAYFAIR SPRING VALLEY RESORT GUWAHATI.About the Resort:Our 5-star luxury resort in Guwahati spans 40 acres with 280 rooms, multiple fine dining restaurants, lounges, bars, banquet halls, and an extensive catering service. We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Food & Beverage (F&B) Manager to lead our F&B operations, ensuring world-class dining experiences and efficient service management.Position: Food & Beverage ManagerLocation: Guwahati, IndiaReports To: General ManagerKey Responsibilities:1. F&B Operations & Service Excellence• Oversee the entire Food & Beverage department, including fine dining, casual dining, bars, banquets, in-room dining, and special events.• Ensure exceptional guest experience by maintaining the highest service and presentation standards.• Develop and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food quality, hygiene, and service efficiency.2. Menu Planning & Culinary Excellence• Collaborate with Executive Chefs to create innovative menu concepts aligned with market trends and guest preferences.• Ensure a balance between high-quality ingredients, cost control, and profitability.• Introduce seasonal and special occasion menus to enhance guest engagement.3. Financial Management & Revenue Growth• Develop and manage the F&B budget, cost controls, and pricing strategies.• Drive revenue growth through strategic pricing, promotions, and upselling techniques.• Monitor inventory, wastage, and procurement to optimize food costs and minimize losses.4. Staff Leadership & Training• Lead and train a team of chefs, restaurant managers, bartenders, and service staff to deliver world-class service.• Conduct regular training programs on hospitality standards, customer service, and hygiene protocols.• Foster a team-oriented, professional, and high-performance culture.5. Event & Banquet Management• Oversee catering and banquet services for luxury weddings, corporate events, and high-profile gatherings.• Work closely with the Sales & Events team to curate personalized dining experiences for special occasions.6. Compliance & Quality Assurance• Ensure strict adherence to food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and liquor licensing laws.• Conduct regular audits to maintain HACCP, FSSAI, and other health & safety standards.Requirements & Qualifications:• 10+ years of experience in luxury hotel/resort F&B management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field.• Strong expertise in restaurant operations, menu planning, banquet services, and cost control.• Proven ability to manage large-scale F&B operations (multiple restaurants, bars, and banquets).• Exceptional leadership, communication, and guest service skills.• Experience in wine pairing, mixology, and international cuisine is a plus.
