The company aims to promote local foods and Indian ingredients on a global culinary stage while supporting farmers with knowledge and technology.Qualification- Post Graduate/GraduateExperience- 5-6 yrs in Procurement in F&V IndustryMain Tasks and Responsibilities1. Procurement & Sourcing Strategy  Develop and implement sourcing strategies for fruits, vegetables (F&V), and edible flowers to ensure consistent supply. Identify and onboard reliable farmers, suppliers, and vendors for quality produce. Ensure procurement aligns with seasonal availability and demand forecasts.2. Supplier & Farmer Relationship Management Establish and maintain strong relationships with farmers, cooperatives, and suppliers to secure the best pricing and quality.Conduct regular farm visits and audits to ensure compliance with quality and safety standards.Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve cost efficiency.3. Quality Assurance & ComplianceEnsure all procured produce meets food safety standards, certifications, and industry regulations. Work closely with the quality control team to implement inspection protocols for freshness, pesticide residues, and organic compliance. Monitor supplier performance and address quality or supply issues proactively.4. Supply Chain & Logistics Coordination Optimize procurement planning to minimize wastage and ensure timely deliveries. Coordinate with logistics and warehousing teams for efficient handling, storage, and distribution of produce. Implement cold chain management for perishable items.5. Cost Optimization & BudgetingTrack market trends, price fluctuations, and commodity rates to make informed purchasing decisions.Control procurement costs while maintaining high-quality standards.Prepare and manage procurement budgets and forecasting reports.6. Data Management & ReportingMaintain accurate procurement records, including purchase orders, supplier agreements, and pricing data.Analyze procurement performance and generate reports for management decision-making.Leverage ERP/software solutions for efficient procurement operationsPromote sustainable and ethical farming practices among suppliers.Work towards reducing the carbon footprint in sourcing and transportation.Ensure adherence to fair trade policies and responsible sourcing guidelines. Skills & Competencies Required:Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.In-depth knowledge of agricultural supply chains and seasonal cycles.Understanding of food safety, quality standards, and regulatory compliance.Proficiency in ERP systems and data analytics for procurement tracking.Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. Note: JD is indicative and not exhaustive.
