Adviseeditorial personnel regarding intellectual property rights, negotiate license agreements andeditorial talent releases with third parties. Review and approve terms of freelanceagreements negotiated by editorial personnel and conduct rights reviews for company’sglobal editorial teams. Assist Syndication Specialists team by advising on intellectualproperty questions. Additional responsibilities include: analyzing rights in archival materials;abstracting license agreements; training and advising syndication staff and editorialdepartments.Skills and ExperienceExperience with intellectual property license agreements required. The ability to producequick, accurate and effective results, attention to detail, excellent interpersonalcommunication and negotiation techniques are essential to this role. Negotiation skillsrequired. The ideal candidate has intellectual property experience in an entertainmentenvironment (e.g., photography, video/motion picture industry, music, etc.), at least 1-2 yearworks experience in a relevant field, good analytical skills, is deadline driven, outgoing andable to work in a team environment. Experience with Rightsline or other rights managementsystems preferred. Italian and/or foreign language skills other than English a plus.
