Our ideal candidate will have at least two years of progressive experience in a public accounting/consulting environment or a finance role acting in a financial reporting, tax or financial analyst role. This role will work with and learn from nationally recognized industry leaders. What your day looks like: The candidate will be an important part of a multi-disciplined team, and will have responsibility for executing many aspects of the financial due diligence process including: You'll leverage your expertise in financial analysis and due diligence to support clients in navigating strategic transactions within the lower middle market segment (EBITDA of $1-20M). Your role involves conducting comprehensive financial assessments, including DSO (Days Sales Outstanding), DPO (Days Payable Outstanding), ROI (Return on Investment), IDO (Inventory Days Outstanding), and other key metrics. Lead financial due diligence efforts, conducting rigorous analysis of proof of cash, revenue, and expenses. Collaborate with clients and internal teams to evaluate opportunities, develop financial models, and formulate actionable recommendations based on ROI and other financial metrics. Prepare clear and concise reports, presentations, and financial models to communicate findings to clients and senior management. Effectively convey complex financial concepts and due diligence findings, ensuring stakeholders are well-informed throughout the transaction process. Assess the quality of earnings and identify areas of risk or opportunity for clients. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality. Pay meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of project execution, from financial analysis to documentation and reporting. Familiarity with key financial metrics such as DSO, DPO, ROI, EBITDA, and net working capital. Identifying key issues, carrying out the relevant financial analysis, interpreting results, and reporting key findings Collect data from various sources and perform routine transactional procedures to check the data quality and prepare standard data sets which will be used during the deal engagement process. Analyzing historical financial and operating results of target companies to explain business trends and identify risks Evaluating the quality of historical earnings and net assets Understanding critical assets and liabilities included in balance sheets of target companies Analyzing the working capital requirements of the target companies Identifying US GAAP departures included in target companies financial statements Challenging assumptions related to future financial projections Identifying critical post-closing matters to be addressed to ensure improvements in profitability and cash flows Interacting extensively with personnel of the target companies and the client Preparing due diligence reports outlining analyses and findings Preferred candidate profile A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in a client facing professional services environment Excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Ability to thrive and adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently on highly analytical tasks CA/CMA/CFA - Qualified/Pursuing Must have excellent MS Excel skills Must have a keen eye to detail and analytical skills
