You will be required to install and maintain the database software, set up user accounts, create backups and backup strategy, application of database features and regularly maintain the database security. Role: Oracle Database AdministratorExperience: 5 to 7 YearsKey Responsibilities:Implementation and management of multitenant databases.Database Backup and Recovery.Creating and scheduling RMAN backups, deciding relevant backup strategies. Database recovery including point in time recovery.Database restoration/refreshDatabase Upgrade and Patching.Database Performance Tuning.This includes query optimization, database initialization parameter tuning, reading and analyzing AWR, ASH and ADDM reports. Database MaintenanceDatabase indexing, Statistics gathering, De-fragmentation, Corruption detection and repairing. Oracle Data Guard implementation, management and administration.Creation of Physical standby and monitoring of archive log synchronization between Primary and Standby.Archive log gap resolution. Database Storage Management like tablespace/datafile resizing Database monitoring, availability and Disaster Recovery Management.Oracle Data pump activities.Collaboration with product developers, vendors and users to solve database issues.Required Skills:Oracle DBA with minimum 4 years of hands-on experience on Production and Non-Production environments. This role demands troubleshooting database/query level performance issues and provide relevant guidance/ solutions. Basic knowledge of SQL.Capacity planningStorage managementStrong technical knowledge of Operating Systems like Windows, Linux etc.Awareness on Database best practices.Database job scheduling through Windows task scheduler.Available to support for weekend database activities.Willingness to provide extended support, if required.Keen to learn and adopt new database technologies like Mongo, MSSQL, MySQL etc.
