Educational requirementsMaster’s degree/Post-graduate Diploma in Psychology, Counselling, Social Work, or a related field.1-3 years of experience in counselling, preferably in an educational setting.Strong interpersonal and communication skills.Fluency in English is a must.Preferred:Experience in conducting mental health workshops and training.Familiarity with online counselling platforms and digital outreach methods.Ability to handle sensitive issues with confidentiality and professionalism.Roles & ResponsibilitiesStudent Counselling & SupportProvide individual counselling sessions to students facing academic, personal, or emotional challenges.Offer crisis intervention and emotional support for students in immediate distress.Maintain confidentiality while documenting case notes and counselling progress.Outreach & Awareness ProgramsParticipate in campus-wide mental health initiatives and promote counselling services through awareness campaigns.Conduct workshops on stress management, coping strategies, emotional resilience, etc.Collaborate with student organizations and faculty to integrate mental health education into campus programs.Student Clubs/Organisation Support & MentorshipManage implementation of Directorate of Student Life (DOSL) strategic objectives and policies.Support and mentor student clubs/organisations through training and supervision.Develop strategies to encourage student engagement in DOSL programs.Program Development & EvaluationAssist in designing and implementing student well-being programs, including SIP sessions, DOSL resource booths and other DOSL initiatives.Gather student feedback on DOSL services and recommend improvements.Contribute to reports and evaluations, such as semester reviews and impact assessments.
